Good Morning TKers:wave2:

and.....THANK YOU!...

No plans for today/night....We plan on going out this weekend ...to a movie and nice dinner...But Mike gave me a really nice ring..(goldband)...

I use to have a gold band thumb ring that he gave about five years ago....
I lost it in a lake we were kayaking in...
I had taken it off my thumb and moved it to my first finger, because it was hitting as I paddled...Its just a tiny bit lose on my first finger, but I have worn it there before with no problems....Well this time I guess it must have worked its way off with the motions of paddling:confused3 At any rate...I lost it......I really loved that thumb ring and was pretty bummed about it...
Mike has now replaced it! :cloud9:
I got him a GPS for his car..been saving up for that for a little while now;)

You all are such good friends :grouphug:

Our rain yesterday lasted a whole 15 minutes - than back to warm weather on the coast - HOT at home and in Hollister where i went to sub for Bunko....won "Most Losses" which got me a $25 gift cert for Southern Living! :cool1:

Hey Brenda.

I was reading our local paper last night and there was a picture of some Japanese students who are visiting for the summer to learn English and to experience the Canadian culture.

One of the boys had the same last name that you do:thumbsup2

Is your family of Japanese descent or does the name come from a different nationality:confused3

Morning Betsy. Enjoy your day.

It's gonna be a warm one here today too.

Of course the air conditioning will not be working:rolleyes:

DH has been to Japan 2 - 3 times i forget....it was on business - but i think he was able to visit or get close to the city his grandparents came from....they are all gone now - but i had the pleasure of meeting his 2 grandmothers altho neither spoke english....that took some "communication" skills for sure!!!

I will have to get the paper out of the recycling box and check to see where the students were from.

I know about the communication.

My husband's family is mainly in Holland.

A lot of them speak English but I got to meet his grandmother a long time ago and she did not speak English.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3:

DU:thumbsup2

I got stung by a wasp or yellow jacket or some sort of stinging creature about 1/2 hour ago :guilty:

I was walking out the door of our shop and it stung me right on the front of the ankle.

Man did that ever hurt. It sure swelled up too.

The swelling is going down a bit but I can still feel the sting every now and again.

NOT the highlight of my day, that's for sure:rolleyes:

What is the difference between the two types of breakers Rory?

I'm not sure what kind ours are and I can't get a good look at them right now.

We have a good electrical supply company here in town that we use to get all of our electrical stuff for the shop. I'm sure they would have them.[/QUO

There are at least 3 kinds that I know of: the old screw in type witch look like the screw in side of a light bulb, the pushmatic witch are the ones you "push' in and out to work and then the switch kind are the ones that you use like a light switch to turn on and off. Hope that helps.

The ones we have look like sideways light switches.

Cally, no I did not kill the stinger guy.

He/she was probably only trying to protect itself.

I think it got caught between my leg and the tongue of my shoe when I walked and that's why it stung me :confused3

It still hurts a bit but it looks and feels a whole lot better.

Hi TKers!

Happy anniversary Betsy and Mike!

Ouch on the bee sting. Hope the pain goes away soon!

Ann~ UtahMama is the DisBoards female version of DU. SHe is quick witted and has a funny answer for everything. And like DU she's just nice.

I've been stuck in the girl's shop all day again...

Less than an hour to go and I am soooo outta here~

Boss man don't know it yet but John and I decided to take a three day weekend to spend some time together. Hubby is taking off Friday and Saturday and made me promise to take off with him. He got really upset with me last week when he found out I took Friday off to prepare for the Magicmeet and he says "I won't take a day off to spend with him."

He has NO IDEA what I have planned for us and I am not ready to tell him yet. I'll let him be pleasantly surprised when I tell him about (once it's confirmed) our TWO trips to FL this fall and winter :woohoo:

He had the oil changed in our explorer today and found out it needs brakes so our Sept trip has been backed down to 89% sure. I'm pushing to go so if it can happen it will!

Some of my fellow trip reporters are going to be in the world the same time and have a fireworks meet set up for the poly beach on the 28th. I am torn now because Betsy is at the MNSSHP that night and Rose wants to do Universal's Halloween Horror nights that weekend-of course it only runs on the 28th and 29th...What am I gonna do!?!

Someone give me some ideas please? I really want to meet up with my fellow threadkillers but I also want to meet the infamous Nebo and Utahmama among others.

Aww.. your poor hubby ;) You guys sound so cute! :goodvibes

Well I really hope we get a chance to meet but if we can't I understand. This won't be our only opportunity. I'm sure we will have many more :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary!!! Sorry you lost your ring..but that is so sweet that you got another one.

If I have to choose between meeting with trip reporters and threadkillers I have to choose my threadkillers...

I'd write more but I unpacked a bunch of boxes from storage today and my hands are both blown up and itchy~

John and me are probably gonna do the beach AND farm fair tomorrow and then quite possibly the beach again on saturday :woohoo:

Thank you PD for answering the Utahmama question, perfect analogy I might add :thumbsup2

Brenda, we'll work on that NY meeting of ours, I have no idea how or when I'm gonna get there but I will get there...

I'm gonna go soak in the tub now...see you all tomorrow~

Robin, have a nice weekend and put some mud on that sting...that's what mama always did for me~

REJUVENATED BONDS BELTS 752 AND 753
Giants slugger launches first pitch he sees out of Wrigley

Rev. Jesse Jackson predicted three homers for Barry Bonds before Thursday's game. (M. Spencer Green/AP) Barry Bonds was back in the Giants' starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's game here against the Cubs and didn't waste any time in his pursuit of Hank Aaron's home run record, smacking two into the depths and out of Wrigley Field

Now i know not all of you are Bonds fans....but he's my boy AND it IS baseball history in the making......i sure the heck don't 'remember' Hank setting the record;)

While waiting for My friend & his wife to get their acts together about going to WDW after Thanksgiving......There are no more 59.00 airfares:guilty: Only 109.00 each way:sad2:

THIS IS WHY I HATE WAITING FOR OTHER PEOPLE

Anyhowwwwwwww We can go on Dec 30 & return 1/6 for 59.00 each way...SHOULD I DO IT???????

James will only miss 3 days of school then.....what are the parks like the first week of the year??????
