Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

So by my calculations, since 3 pm this afternoon there have been 105 "viewings" of the Thread Killers thread.

Hmmmmm, I wonder who is doing all of that peeking

Some of you lurkers need to stop laughing at us behind our backs and come and join us in the laughing ::yes:: :teeth:

Obviously it is NOT the tag fairies who are lurking out there :faint:. I think we would have some interesting comments left as evidence if they were around here

I would like to make something with it for a relative of ours who collects licence plates too. He is an older gentleman, late 60's. Any suggestions ......... a pillow maybe or some sort of wall hanging??????? Any suggestions will be given due consideration ;)

This may sound strange....but what about sleeves to keep his most cherished plates in...or he can use the sleeves if he travels with his collection...

other than that...a tie...

or maybe a "Hawaiian-like " shirt....

All good ideas, BP. I will add them to the list of possibilities. Thanks.

Ooh, ooh, please continue, it's such a lovely story, with even lovlier 'characters'. :teeth:

(Thank goodness no one was :jumping1: )

Robin, does your relative golf? Golf club covers would be cute. Maybe just some hand towels for around the house or garage? Maybe a handkerchief?

Well, I'm glad my day is winding down. Took DD to Brownies this morning, and while she was there, I snuck over to see my SIL (on bedrest) and niece, who's BD is Monday. I brought a big box of Kelly's old clothes, and an assorted gift tin from the Popcorn Factory, as well as my niece's BD present. Nice visit, but short. I may go back tomorrow with DD before the other BD party. Anyway, then, back to pick up DD from Brownies, take her home to change, and off to my FILs to do the Thank you cards. Took about 3-1/2 hours I guess. 2 more siblings showed up later, so we ate dinner together, Chinese (goodbye WW this week, too). I think we got home about 7:30, and here I am. One load of laundry in the dryer, another present for tomorrow to be 'decorated' in the morning by DD, and another weekend gone.....POOF! with nothing accomplished at home. :( This place looks really, really bad. :(

Interesting thing at Brownies today, I was talking with a couple of Moms, and there are more parents besides myself, concerned with the level of teaching (or non-teaching) happening with their kids also. (Sense relief?) Well, we kinda informally decided to talk again after the parent-teacher meetings on 11/4, and if we're still unhappy, we want to set up a meeting with the principal, as a group. Don't know what that will accomplish, but at least I'm not alone.

Thanks for the ideas Kim. I will add them to the list.

He does not golf that I know of.

Towels or handkerchiefs might be a good idea. :D

This guy has almost every state licence plate, except I think Delaware and one other one that I can't remember and almost all of the Canadian ones too. He has a lot from European countries too, since he is originally from Holland and travels there to visit family or family comes to see him.

I ended up with one from Hawaii, which is very rare to get. A guy who works for us pulled it out of a recyling depot (of all places) for me!!!! When I told Lambert (the collector) that I had a Hawaii plate his eyes just about bugged right out ;). So me being the "nice" person I am, I gave my Hawaii plate to him.

I figured that I had lots of years to get another one or maybe my original one will be returned to me some day. He being older and a more avid collector than me, will get a lot of enjoyment out of that plate.

He displays his collection on a wall in his garage.

Kim, don't worry about how your house looks. Life is much too short to waste it cleaning anyways ;) You will get to it sooner or later.

At least you have those thank you cards done and you can take that job off of your list of things to be done.

Interesting, with your daughter's school work situation. Maybe if you parents can band together then something can be done.

Thanks Robin. ;) We normally live in an organized mess anyway, but these past 2 weeks, even I'M disorganized! And the dust.......ewwwwwww. Good thing my kids have seasonal allergies, and NOT dust allergies, or they'd be dead by now. :(

My brother stopped by last night, when we were out, to drop off my BD present. They gave me a Mickey head pumpkin tea light lantern, sooo cute, and a set of Mickey & friends C'mas ornaments. Wow, finally, my family recognizes my Disney addiction. :p Wait until they see me in action At The World!! ::yes::

Hello :wave2: How's everyone tonight? I finally started packing for the upcoming trip! :Pinkbounc Still need to do 2 more loads of laundry tho'

Hi PC, short for PrincessaC. ;) Welcome back!!!! :sunny:

You can join me tonight, I've got a load in the dryer as we type. :p

Laundry in my dryer too :p

Hi PC :wave2:

Kim, we live in a semi organized mess too.

I told the kids last night that I was going to pitch both of their dressers in the garbage. Their clothes are always on the floor anyways. Without dressers they would more space to put their clothes on the floor

It is always nice to get a gift that you can appreciate isn't it!!!

PC better get packing or at least mentally packing ;)

Hi Cruisin'Kroezes, I'm getting there (mentally that is). I went shopping today for our supplies. Wipes, Bug spray, soap, shampoo, etc... hope i didn't forget anything.....

I asked this on the MNSSHP thread but it never got answered.....it might be the same for MVMCP....maybe not...but can you pick up the tickets early from the pick up window...from what i understand ....the party starts at 7 ..but people are let in as early as 4.....wonder if we can pick up the tickets at 4 and get in early........ Guess I'll find out soon enough..LOL..

Maybe I'll try this on DD, substituting toy box and book shelves, since those are always on the floor. It's a danger to walk in her room.

DS, on the other hand, took it upon himself, right before his 8th grade grad party, to clean his room, and never have to work that hard again doing it. He's pretty good, too, I might add, unless his sister leaves her belongings in there. Just this past Thursday night, we walked downstairs to leave one pair of pants in the laundry room, rather than on his floor. I was proud, almost proud enough to wash them, but NOT! :p

Hmmm, not sure PC. When I ordered the MVMCP tic, it was sent to me before I even left. Just had to be sure I didn't FORGET it!

PC, what about rain ponchos? Cooler weather clothing, just in case, for the evening? Camera, film, batteries, costumes? The list goes on................. :p
