This should be post 5600!

Congratulations to all who have posted here!

Any word on Kim and her 'puter woes? Hope she's up and running soon...

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

 :faint:  :faint:  :faint:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

but....i know what you mean.....

:bounce: Happy 5600th post to the Thread Killers thread and it was made by our very own Brer_Papa!!!!!

Hey Kim?????????? Are you out there somewhere?

What has happened to mamajoan, she hasn't posted here in forever. Also Kevin and Sarah have deserted us too???

Was it something we said :p

You guys.........

If I can talk Tom into it, I like to nap for 2 hours. Usually we nap for about an hour. It takes me more than 15 minutes to get to sleep! (no quickies here - ya gotta take your time! ) I usually sleep around 6 hours a night, even though I'm in bed longer. Not because I napped and can't sleep, I usually just can't shut my mind down. My father is very much the same way.

Cruisin, I hope you're okay. Allergies are a bear to live with. Do you have any medication to take?

BrerPapa - I do not juggle. You have to understand, I would break things and hurt myself! I can't even drive a stick shift! Ask Cruisin - I'm a big clutz! When we met for lunch.....I tripped UP the stairs! It's a gift........being this clutzy!

I haven't heard from Kim. Since it's the weekend, she might not be on-line and use the computer at work.

As for the living off the land theory: Tom and I were very close to moving to PA. That's where his family is from, so we're up there often (although not often enough!). The squirrels ARE fat and juicy, I guess they have to be with the long, cold, snowy winters. Here in Florida - it's summer more often than not! Will I learn to cook them - forget it! I'd rather eat twigs!

Okay - did we cover all the theories?
Napping........yep!
Juggling...........yep!
Squirrel McNuggets.............yep!
Robert Fulgum's secret identity.............nope!

Happy posting! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

The threadkillers are SO cool! I can't imagine a more fun time than all of us getting togther for an '07 cruise! Do you think the rest of the absent gang would come along?

It would be amazing if we could get a big huge group, stage a mutiny and take over the ship! Then we could go round and round and enjoy ourselves for a MUCH longer cruise than we paid for!

Now you see , if I had a 2 hour nap, I would be useless for at least 2 hours afterwards. So for me it is not worth taking the nap. I rarely nap during the day anyways. Maybe once a month or so I will have a short 10 minute nap.

No time for sleeping, you might miss something important you know :smooth:

No medication for the allergies, at least not right now. Maybe later if they stay bad enough. My son has a really bad ragweed allergy. He has been taking drugs most of the summer already.

Yup, Brer_Papa, Hollyann did trip up the stair when we were going for lunch. She did a really good recovery job though, I hardly would have noticed if she didn't point it out to me ;)

Now I don't juggle but I do drive a stick shift car all of the time. I just put my nice new Mickey head on it today.

I saw 2 Mickey antenna toppers right close together today when we first got back to town. The one, I think, was a St. Patrick's day Mickey and the other was just a plain black one. Usually I don't see that many Mickey antenna balls around this city.

Ann, you forgot the Santa theory. BP does seem awfully interested in reindeer, don't you think :scratchin

Robin-

You're right.........do you suppose he's using the Santa theory to throw us off track and he's actually Robert Fulghum.

Or.........is he Santa and Robert Fulghum's his twin?

Or.........does he have a split personality and he's both?

Am I getting warm?.......................

:confused3

Don't ask me ........... you're the one with all of the theories :p

I just know how to drive a stick shift car :teeth:

Maybe PrincessAriel knows?????????

Sorry, Robin and everyone for being such a stranger. I have been working a lot, so I can get a lot of extra money for Disney World! Only 9 more days left, WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I can't wait!!!!!!!!! I have missed all of you! ::yes::

And I have no idea where Kevin is.... I have not heard from him in a long, long, long, long time. :( I sure hope he is okay. I miss him! ::yes:: Maybe I scared him away.

SARAH!!!!!!!!

there you are :D

We have missed you around here lately ::yes::

Kevin has not posted here in quite some time. I don't know if he has been posting elsewhere. I am sure that you did not scare him away:eek:

Only 9 more day, Hooray for you. I hope you have a great trip and have better luck with hurricanes than I did :sunny: :sunny:

Hi Sarah! So glad you could join us! You have to be SO excited to be leaving in 9 days! The last time we heard from Kevin, he said his computer was busted and he was posting from a friends house. Hopefully, he'll be in touch soon!

Yeah, Cruisin, I'm the one with the theories. But...........YOU can drive a stick-shift car! That is so cool. I'd love to be able to. If Tom was gushing blood and I had to get him to the hospital - I'd manage -- then get the car repaired! However, I couldn't do it with any smoothness, style or panache. I just don't have the coordination! Believe me, the best have tried to teach me and they've ALL given up!

So, what does everyone else drive? Stickshift? or Automatic?

About every third truck/SUV (I don't remember the last time he drove a car!) hubby purchases, he gets a stick shift. However, we're both driving automatics right now.

We have a Honda Civic - stick shift - mine

and a Honda Accord - automatic - husband's.

I used to have the automatic until he twisted his ankle really badly a few years back and couldn't use the clutch pedal anymore. Now that his ankle is better enough, he still has the automatic and I have the stick shift :earseek:

I think he just likes driving the newer, nicer car ::yes::

I don't care so much how it looks as long as it gets me where I want to go, when I want to get there :D Although it seems kind of strange when I do the majority of the driving around and his car sits in the parking lot most of the day that I have to have the old car. But you know men, there is no arguing with them :teeth:
(present company excluded, of course ;) )

Hi Robin! :wave2: Thanks, I have missed all of you too! And I hope there are not more hurricanes coming to FL. Either way though, I know I am going to have a blast! :Pinkbounc And I sure hope Kevin comes around soon!

Hi Hollyann! :wave2: I drive an Automatic. I don't think I would like to drive a Stickshift very much.

Well, it's time for me to say good night. We're watching the local news - I'm reading and it's getting late.

Take care my friends - see ya tomorrow!

Good night, Hollyann and everyone! I hope you all get a good nights sleep and don't let the bed bugs bite! LOL

:wave2: everybody!! Just checkin' in while the 'puter's running good. I have been sick all weekend, of course that didn't stop me from being OUT almost the whole weekend. No wonder I feel worse. :( Fever yesterday over 101º, body hurt EVERYWHERE, I was hot, cold, hot, cold, I was miserable. So, what do I do? Go to the Cubs game today, after going to church first to hear DD sing in choir. :teeth: I just now changed from shorts and a t-shirt into sweat pants and a sweat shirt because I went from hot to cold again. Made sure the heat was on, too. ::yes::

When I left work early Friday, my boss said to go home and rest up for work this week....HA! I went home and laid down for an hour to rest up for the Weekend I knew I had!

Sounds like everybody had a busy weekend! That's good, keeps us young, right? ;)

I have heard from mamajoan, twice this week. She's been lurking mostly since her 'puter-crash happened. :( Come on out and POST mamajoan, you know we miss you! ::yes::

Here's an illness-related question for you all to ponder.....How is it that you can NOT breath through your nose, yet the nose keeps running like a faucet??? Pass the tissues please. ;)

Hi Kim! :wave2: It's good to see you! I am sorry you are not feeling very well, I hope you feel better soon.

Good morning fellow threadkillers!
Sunny this morning ...but COLD as.h........well you know.:)
Geese were flying over all this last weekend......:listen: I had my DGDs over ofcourse....There little sisters(the twins-4yo) came also.(they dont very often). They are so CUTE...I cant wait to take them to WDW. Elizabeth told me she is going to ask Cinderella to come and sleep with us at the Poly.( my DH would love that):earseek: I told her she lives at the castle and we can see her for breakfast(man I have a BIG mouth) now I just have to get a PS. If I dont Im in trouble.
Victoria(the other twin)told me they just saw Starwars and she thinks Yoda is "hot"( her older sisters have big mouths also)and she wants to marry him:earseek: .......Anyone would be better then Yoda....I always thought chewbacca was cute, but YODA?????I have to have a talk with these girls...... The older girls(13, 11, 9) are always going on about how they just love Jeremy Sumpter(peter pan in the newest movie that just came out)(not Disney)and how "hot" he is.he must be al of 14-15 yo. he is in a new series this season I cant remember the name of it, but it also has Dean cain(now he IS hot)It is driving my poor son crazy...He just cant handle his girls growing up.
I myself cant wait until they are ALL teens .....:teeth: I bet he visits us alot then.....Even if its just to use the bathroom or phone::yes::
Boy I guess I can ramble on when Im in the mood.....Sorry:crazy:
Anyway its time to do my chores....So you all have a great day.
By the way... I dont juggle, I can drive stick, but I dont... I drive a venture (van, auto) and a '07 cruise would be soooo COOL.
Betsy

Oh and I forgot...............................................................Feel better Kim!

Hi everyone! Oh Kim. What a rotten thing to happen. As to your question. You can't breath IN because boogers are running OUT! It's not a revolving door! I hope you feel better. We've missed you! You HAVE been busy!

DalPal - sounds like your GD's are a blast! We have 2 grandsons. 20 months and 11 months. They're just as cute as can be.....we're hoping for a princess next time. Although our DD is talking about another child - it will be in a year or so.

Well, I got the house to myself for the whole day! DH is on his way to NC with DD and GS. They are trading the GS for a week. He's going to visit his other grandma. Tom decided to ride with DD since they're meeting half way and headed right back. Under ordinary circumstances, I'd lay around - read a book - go to lunch....but I've got Bunco tomorrow! So, I gotta clean, finish up my shopping and make a (sugar free) dessert. Did I mention I need to clean? I better get cracking!

Before I go - a great big Threadkillers Good Morning to all of you out there. Hope your day is swell.

:sunny: -- see?! I remembered the smilies!
