Good morning, everybody!!!

Inlaws.....here.......must......maintain.......composure.......

Okay, now that I've got that out of the way, I can personally attest that exercise is the single best way I've ever found to alleviate stress!:p Anyone else find that to be true?

My four-mile WATP felt awesome yesterday! And as a special pledge to Beastlover - who can't do any abs work right now because of her recent surgery - I did my Tamilee Webb abs workout. Aaaahhhhh. That felt good! Two more abs workouts this week is my goal - I can do it!!!:Pinkbounc

Hope everyone else had an active and productive day yesterday! Don't you feel AWESOME, knowing you gave your body the activity it needs to be strong and healthy? Good for you!

So tell us all what you did here, and keep up the great work! Every day we work out is one step closer to our goal!!!

Daisy;)

AAAAGH!!! When will abs workouts ever feel good!!! Am I the only one here who workouts out because he/she has to?

I have been really good tho and I'm sticking to THE PLAN!!! It helps that I've snuck in a sneaky weigh and I've lost another lb! I think my favourite part of exercising is sitting in the bath afterwards soaking my muscles!!!

I went swimming in the pool yesterday for an hour with my 2 labradors. They keep me on the move! ;)

Then we went over to my MIL's house & I had to help hubby move a desk up 2 flights of stairs. Gave my arms a pretty good workout.

Daisy, just keep chanting, "Serenity now, serenity now..." And I will send you some pixie dust to help you stay centered and happy whilst your inlaws are visiting! ;)

Glad that you are able to get rid of any stress you may be feeling with them around through your exercise routine!

Yesterday I did 35 manly-man push ups (5 extra for Beastlover) and 60 bent knee push ups and then my regular tricep and shoulder routine, although I added a few extra reps to the shoulders and tris for Beastlover. I also went rollerblading along my normal about 9 mile route! ;) Then we went power walking last night (3.5 miles) and moved some ridiculously heavy furniture from my parents house to my sister's house. WOW! All in all had a great workout yesterday, was in my zone and really pushed it for the rollerblading so I could feel it in my legs! Yipee!!!

I did a little yesterday.
I did about 1/2 hour on the body by Jake buttisimo thingy, and about 10 rolls on the ab roller. I have a terrible summer cold and the body aches all over so I didn't push myself. But I can feel the difference today with not exercising for 2 days and then doing just the little I did yesterday. Hoping to get back to the WATP by Friday if this medication finally kicks the bug. Peggie

I did the 3 mile WATP. :D I have to start the yoga and pilates tapes I bought but I just can't seem to get motivated to do those.

Yesterday my hours for work were changed a bit. Instead of sleeping in, I got up at my normal time and went on a long, brisk 45 minutes walk. I then came in and did some crunches and a few other exercises for about 15 more minutes. I would like to be doing more exercises but I am out of shape and will have to build up slowly.

I also ate lunch while working so that I could spend my half hour lunch walking.

I am so impressed with the work out some of you are getting each day! I am not sure where you find the time or energy. However, you are all my inspiration so lets keep on moving and losing!

Daisy--Great job keeping up your routine while inlaws there-I can feel your pain, my inlaws have had to live with us for medical reasons off and on for the past 2 years. Exercise is truly the most wonderful way to alleviate stress--keep it up!!!
TigH--I TOTALLY FELT MY ABS YESTERDAY!!!! Thank you so much for remembering me!!
Cinmell-I also just bought some yoga and pilates tapes (Denise Austin) and they are nice, except the way she talks drives me nutty. You'll know it when you hear it. She is good, and the workout is good, but sometimes I have to laugh while I do them. I am hoping to start up again next week, after the hole in my abdomen heals a little more. ;)
Well, for my exercise, I washed my DH car. Mine was in the shop and I had to use his "baby" to go to the store. He left it outside the one day and while we were gone, it got rained on. (the horror) He has been whining because no time to wash it, so I thought it would be easy enough to do to work into activity again.
I got so swollen from walking too soon, I took it easy and things feel better, staples come out tomorrow!! wheeeeee!!!!:p
Have a great day!

You guys are making me feel like a slacker! All I did was the 3 mile WATP video last night.

Way to go everyone!!

Final Day at the State Fair - 8 1/2 hours (a lot of walking and a significant amount up and down hills).

Stayed on track pretty well, with a couple of planned cheats (one bite of corndog, one bite of funnel cake and one sip of lemon shake-up). Checked last night and this a.m. and was in ketosis both times so I guess no damage done.

Actually when I got on the scales this a.m. was down another 1/2 lb. total.

I did my 50 min on the treadmill with the incline as high as it would go.

Congrat's to all who have gotten on the move and doing things that make you feel better.

Keep up the great work everyone!
Tammy

I certainly have discovered that, Daisy. :) And the Tai Chi and Yoga have definitely helped improve my ability to focus, even if it is only for an hour or so after a routine.

Dunno if anything I did yesterday counts or not. I was so tired and not feeling well so took the night off. First night I haven't done *something* in 3 weeks, though, so that's fair. :) I just need to try very hard to resist the urge to take tonight off as well. I did go up to the university yesterday afternoon, though, which meant walking about maybe half a mile in the heat (thankfully it was relatively nice yesterday and not the 106+ heat advisories we were having the week before) then the trek up and down 2 flights of stairs. Made it almost to the top of the second before running out of breath. :) Dunno if that counts as my exercise for the day or not, though. ;)

I did WATP 3 mile tape with weights and in the afternoon I did Power 90 sculpt 3-4 and a firm ab tape. Then in the evening I took my grandson for a spin around the block a few times, pulling his wagon. I am so inspired by everyone's determination with exercising, it really keeps me motivated!

It's definitely a good thing that I'm better at exercising than I am at posting!
Sun. Swam 1 mile.
Mon. Swam 1 mile.
Tues. Bowled 4 games in about 1hr 15 min.

I really am enjoying my exercise, & also this thread. It's great to see what everyone else is doing, & I'm getting ideas for when the pool closes for the season.
