Who enjoys The Kristos??

Who never heard of or saw The Kristos?

I was just 'rummaging around' on the DIS site and came across this video link on the DIS home page area, High speed(larger image).........Dialup(smaller image)

The Kristos are a mother and 2 sons gymnastic performance (well, not really gymnastic I guess, not sure what you call it....Steve Soares site calls it 'unearthly strength ballet'). Any time I am in the Future World area of Epcot, and hear their pounding music start, I head over, quickly, as the performance is quite brief, to the area right by Innoventions Fountain, to enjoy another great performance of The Kristos. If you have seen them, I think they are like Cirque du Soleil, you like them, a lot, or you don't, LOL; you get it, or you don't. I like the performance, a LOT.

I have always seen them in their blue costumes, and always with their faces covered during the show. Here is a link to a page with more info on them. The mom, the one with the long blond hair (after the show you can see) is in her 50's (remarkable) and her two sons are in their 30's. Not sure about the new member there.

I think I saw them where they were wearing dark silver, almost black costumes.

Great show. Better than I expected for something playing the aisles of WDW.

The Kristos are amazing. I haven't seen them in a few years but I will have to make time for their show the next time I'm there.

I would of loved to of seen them in Dec...now I have something "new" I have to see on our next trip!!

There is a fourth person performing with them now. I would guess she is the daughter of one of the sons. Maybe she is training for when mom finally leaves the group.

I stopped by to see Kristos on the last day of my WDW trip this past December. It was an extremely windy day and, to my disappointment, one of the sons came out to tell the crowd that it was too dangerous for them to perform. And Peg is right. There is a 4th member of the group who I also assume is the daughter of one of the sons. I would have liked to have seen them perform, but I can understand that high winds could be a problem. I cannot believe the strength that they exhibit during their performance.

The blue costumes are new, aren't they? I recall them dressed in either silver or gold when I've seen them in the past.

I liked the old costume where they looked like aliens. They are great. Wish I could bend like the mother.

Apparently the 4th member of Kristos (Albena Aleksandrova) is NOT related to the mother/sons team.

We saw them during one of our Epcot trips. They were.... interesting.

Did they dress in all black before? Maybe with some sort of odd mask over their faces, or the outfit came over their faces? I remember seeing something like this at Epcot before and it was pretty cool.

A few years back, and found out they were Mom and 2 Sons here on the DIS. They are great!

I agree - they are great! We caught the very end of their act in May. Here's a photo showing the fourth member. She looks very young.

Those black costumes are the ones that I was thinging about. I've seen them perform in the heat of summer in those outfits and I often wondered how they stood the heat, especially with all of that physical exertion.

they are probably specially made for what they do. Like a wet suit. keeps sweat off of your body, and they are really light.

I got to talking to one of the two sons over the summer (I had my picture taken with them, and started chatting with them afterwards), and apparently the newest member of the Kristos is somebody the father recruited. The Kristos are from Bulgaria, and the sons' father discovered her at an acrobatic school in Bulgaria.

I make a point of watching them perform every time I'm down. They are a great group!!
