Who else wants to see King Kong?

I want to see it. I might go next Monday or Tuesday early in the day when it is not crowded.

I'm looking forward to seeing it too!! Probably go this weekend!

I'm going to a preview tonight. I can't wait.

Unlike Narnia it's getting very good reviews.

If you want "free" tickets you can buy the new Jurassic Park, Mummy, Tremors, or Frighteners DVD sets. Each comes with a ticket to see Kong.

Lucky....*sighs* ;) We have to babysit my 2 nephews Wednesday night and all of Thursday....So I have to wait until this weekend.... :moped:

I want to see it so bad!

But I really don't want to see Narnia. I really didn't like that story.

I really want to see King Kong but I'm worried that, as it is not allegorical, I will only be able to enjoy it on one level.
Will I feel cheated?

I want to see it, but also want to see the Producers. I imagine we'll get to see KK first if DH picks.
Robin M.

I heard that it was 3 hours long. Better get comfy for that one!
DS just got the King Kong video game yesterday for his PS2. I know nothing about it except it cost $50! I don't usually buy his video games so maybe this is the norm but it seemed pricey to me. He said it came with a free tix for the movie though, so maybe DH will take him to see it.

I will add it to the list of movies I need to see during the Christmas break ( along with Harry Potter and Narnia).

Absolutely. I think it will be amazing. Peter Jackson is an incredible director and Weta is just plain amazing.

DS & I have plans to see King Kong this Sat w/his Godmother

I have not seen the original but I really liked it. I would say that it does run a little long and they could have cut some pieces out but my DH and I both enjoyed it. Is the original three hours long?

The original King Kong is a black and white movie and is not terribly long. The version with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lang was probably about 2 hours long. It was okay, but did not have all of the dinosaurs and stuff like the original.

Well this one must follow closer to the original. I may have to see if I can catch it sometime to compare.

We'll be seeing it, but first I want to see Narnia!

Count me in for sure. I'll be like this towards the screen :bitelip: !

I do, though I don't care much for Peter Jackson.

Already got my tickets for tomorrow night.
