Who Else Thought Their First Trip was a "once in a Lifetime"

yep, have had our first once in a lifetime trip and have decided that nothing else will do and are returning next year cant wait and have no intention of ever staying off site.

My Mum decided to treat her little girl ( :flower: me, i was 25) in 1997, we had a fantastic trip and i came back desperate to go again! I raved about it to my bf now my dh  but he kept saying it wasn't his type of thing.

Eventually i got round him in 2003 :cheer2: , he awas amazed and loved it and was planning for 2004 by day 3. We met a couple(jon and nina) at discovery cove( my birthday pressie) and met up with them many times in the 2nd week. When we got back we kept in touch and then booked to go again in 2004 the 4 of us.
To our surprise i fell pregnant at the beginning of 2004 so we decided this would be our last trip due to finances! We all had a fantastic time and were very sad to leave :sad2:.
I thought that was it but in march this year jon and nina came to visit and see baby ben, we all had a few glasses of wine( bad mother!!) and woke up the next morning all having had the same strange dream :jumping3: We were going to Florida again :jumping3: :cool1: :jumping3:
Of course i had known all the best deals (it always does to be prepared especially when holidays are concerned) and i now only have 18 days to go, dh is saying to make the most of it  as we won't be going again for a few years(we'll see). It seems every time is a trip of a lifetime and then we come up with a reason that we have to go
I'm sure i can think of many more reasons over the next few years ie just before my ds's 3rd birthday and just before he goes to school full time! so maybe not every year but i'm sure i will be enjoying the magic for many holidays yet. :cool1:

yea our first in a liftime visit was back in 92 we were planing on just going to california next year in may but as we have just come back from our 16th visit to wdw we have decided to book next aug as well gets addictive disney

Our 'Once in a Lifetime' trip was for our wedding in 2000. It all went out the window when on our last day of this trip we brought each other a wedding present..............DVC membership !!!!!

Our once in a lifetime was March 2003 and we'd decided before we left to come home that we'd book again so we booked for October 2004 and as soon as we got back we enrolled friends to come this November, we keep convincing ourselves this will be the last time for a few years but I've already been looking up my deals for next year so I guess we'll probably go again!
Every time I get client who comes in my travel agency and says 'we want to take the kids to disney for a real once in a lifetime trip' I just smile and don't say anything 'cos I know then I've got a guaranteed repeat customer!

Yes we did I guess, my mom and dad took me when I was 8 - I blame them entirely for my addiction! :teeth:
But to be honest if my parents hadn't have taken me then I would have gone with DH when we first met as his family is as bad as mine for Disney trips!!

I think we have been 9 or 10 times now, I am just looking forward to the next time as we will have our little girl with us so it will be really special. princess:

It was our first trip last year, we decided that we would go again on our way home, we are going again in November.
