I may have to go to California Adventure just to see it again. :flower:

Watching it with DD1 a few years ago at WDW brought tears to my eyes. I saw that parade SO MANY times growing up, and just hearing the intro gave me goosebumps. I really miss it. Don't get me wrong, Spectromagic is a good parade, and it is growing on me. The music is becoming my *new* memories. Do you know what I mean? But it took a long time for me to accept the change. I know. I'm weird. :rotfl:

Does anyone else miss this parade as much as I do?

I never went to DL or WDW while growing up, so by the time we started bringing our son when he was 5, it was Spectromagic! So, I never felt nastalgic about MSEP.

We saw the MSEP a few times when it was brought to WDW, but I still like Spectro better. :)

I miss it so much that my husband bought me a a "Lights Out" publicity package on Ebay.

I miss it too, but I also miss the original music they used for the Electrical Water Pagent. I guess all things change and move on.

I miss it!!! I wonder if they'll ever 'swap' parades again and send Spectro to DL and bring MEP back to WDW?

When did they change the water pageant music??? It's been a long time since I've seen it, and I didn't realize it changed! I'm hoping to catch it in a few weeks when we stay at VWL.

What a great gift! And a great DH, too! :cool1:

Love Main Street Electrical Parade, my first memory of Disney was that parade and Dopey coming over to me and patting the top of my head- But for now i'll have to make due with Spectro in oh i dont know...... 6 days!!! Or is it 5 now?? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Yeah, I miss it, too. Unfortunately, I go to DL once or twice a month and I still have to miss it. It's now gone "seasonal" at DCA. Very sad.

Wow, that is sad! Wonder why it's seasonal? Is it not as popular at DCA as it was at WDW?

It was a great parade and I loved sitting on Main Street and watching it. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

Count me in as one who misses it. I hadn't been to WDW in years and in August when we finally visited, I was surprised by the Spectromagic parade. It didn't seem nearly as bright and the music just wasn't the same. I really wonder if my memory serves me right...Was the former parade much brighter?

I think it was more colorful. The music was so awesome. Sighhhh....

i miss it so much. I saw it when i was 2 years old in 1988, which was my first trip ever to Disney World. We have it on video tape from that visit. Cinderella waved right at me. And even though i dont remember seeing it in person, i watch the video all the time and its so magical. I never got to see it again after that.

Whenever i hear the music i cant help but get teary eyed.

I tear up when I hear the music. I am taking my mom for the first time in about 20 years, and that was the first thing she said she wanted to do, was watch the Electrical Parade. I hated to tell her it was gone, she was really disappointed, as she said the best memories was the music and seeing her kids' faces light up when it started.

I miss it, too. It was one of Disney's most creative efforts. I thought it ranked right up there with Fantasmic.
