If you haven't read the "new DCL illness Identified" thread you have to go see it- hilarious!

But it made a funny point about having nightmares of missing the ship, and etc. I thought that was funny since I have had this one myself, along with losing DH somewhere and not being able to find him onboard, and also getting on the ship and it was like a military ship. Anyone else have any new ones to add to this list!?

Nikswims: I didn't read that post, but my biggest worry is getting to the port and forgetting someone's birth certificate and getting booted from the cruise.

Did everyone see that other post a while back about instead of wearing the lime green ribbons, people are getting those green mickey stickers from Home Depot? If you haven't seen it, at Home Depot, the Disney paint section has stickers instead of color cards. The stickers are in the shape of Mickey's head and they come in all the paint colors. There is a color called Alien Green (lime green) that most people are getting. Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a heads up because my family (and some others on our thread) will probably be wearing those instead of lime green ribbons. Please don't ignore us!

I've read the thread about the Mickey heads at Home Depot and actually have a few. Ours aren't stickers (guess it deponds on what part of the country you are from) but they would make cute badges.

I thought that is why Kathy was making buttons tho - to take the place of the lime green ribbons. That's what we used on the DVC Member Cruise (the buttons not ribbons).

Okay,
I want all of your best ways how to tell DS that we are bringing his friend along
on this cruise
(this has already been worked out with the parents)
He is 10 he does not know or does his friend know that they will be taking this trip together
They are in the same class at school and we didn't want them to be bouncing off the walls for 2 weeks so we are going to tell them together on May 2 that we are going on May 8th!
My Ds know that he is going he just doesn't know that his friend is coming too!
can't wait to see their faces!

Since we were the ones doing the buttons we had them on already - silly me!

Goofy - that is so cool that you are brining his friend. What about inviting the other family over to watch the DCL video. Then after it is over tell the boys! Lucky boys!

Funny you mention about bouncing off the walls...I have come to the realization that we are two weeks out from "MAGIC"! So now....me at 50 years old am beginning to bounce off the walls and anything else....gotta be careful....can't get hurt at work...gotta be careful driving...nothing will get in the way of this wonderful cruise....gonna see all your guys in 2 weeks....keep the faith.....we are almost there now......

I feel the same way TChrist. I am also bouncing off the walls. Everyone at work is sick of me talking about this cruise, lol. I think they are just jealous. I read my passporter at my desk even though I have read it twice already ! Hope to see everyone onboard.

Hello all....gotta tell ya.....my wife and I were booked on the cruise last November 30th that Disney cancelled. We had a cat. 8 stateroom booked that DCL upgraded us to a category 5 about a month before. Never cruised with a verandah so we were estatic to say the least. Then the bad news came of the cancellation the day before Thanksgiving....ended up on the 4 day Wonder on December 1st....but it was not the same.....had a good time but not as special since they could not give us the category 5 they had upgraded us to....anyway.....we rebooked for next November but decided in January that we just did not want to wait....so now it is two weeks away and we were upgraded to a category 4...so we are just very excited to say the least....and my wife does not know another little secret...I have booked a 3 day for September and our daughter and her mom who lives in Florida will be joining us...she thinks we are going to the World for 6 nights...but we are going to the world for 3 nights...and a 3 night cruise....so it just something else to look forward to.....2 weeks and counting....looking forward to seeing you all....and by the way, does anyone know how they are handling the soda mugs now...are they doing the sticker thing or are they back to the mug? Also, are we allowed to serve ourselves at the buffet now? Hopefully someone knows the answers....

Two More Weeks!


Time to start the serious packing and organizing!

Tom, can't answer your questions 100%, but I think the buffets have been back to self-serve for a number of weeks now. On our Wonder Cruise in Feb. it was self-serve the whole time. Also the soda program was sticker on KTTW card and the mug was $5 extra - not sure if they have changed that now or not.
