We left our dog (Muffy) and cat (Kaht) for the first time last May when we went to Disney. We were so sad, but not Muffy or Kaht! They were going to visit their friends at the Vet. Our vet boards animals, which is great because everyone there knows our two babies and I know they will get lots of love and attention.
Muffy is our 2-year-old border collie mix and she just loves to play and eat (loves cookies!) and is very happy with anyone who has cookies to give her or even just some lovin'.
Kaht (pronounced "cat") has only lived with us for 2 of his 15 years, but he doesn't mind being at the vets (well, as long as they don't stick anything up his butt that is).
He was a stray my parents "adopted" when he was a kitten. He used to belong to the neighbors but since they abused him, my mom took him in and even though he was strictly an outdoor cat he never left my parents' yard. Then the neighbors moved and left him, so he really became my parents' cat. Then when my mom passed and we sold my dad's house and he moved in with us...well, Kaht was definitely coming home with us! There was no way I was leaving him behind! Now he's strictly an indoor cat, he adjusted very quickly to being an indoor cat! And he's no longer my dad's cat, he's mine!
I've already made reservations for them at the vet's when we go back to WDW in December. I'd love to take them with us, but I know they wouldn't have as much fun as they do at our vet's.
