Who else is booked for the BLT opening date ( Aug 4th )

Thanks to the DW for hitting the redial button for just about an hour and then being on hold for 20 minutes we finally managed to get a reservation at BLT for the August 4th opening day.

We were hoping for a Magic Kingdom view but they were all gone by the time she got through so we ended up with a Lake View.

So who else is going to be at BLT for the August 4th opening day? What view did you manage to get and do you think there might be any special event for the first guests staying at BLT?

Looks like we are going to be the only Disboard/DVC Members that are going to be there opening day so far.

actually we managed a Studio-SV for Aug 4th..... 2 studios-SV for New Years Eve, and a studio-MK for Nov 22...

We live in Florida so we make a lot of short trips..although the Nov 22 date is actually part of a large trip that spans the entire week with the remainder of the days at OKW

First ring and I was in. Booked for Aug 4th 5th 6th. 1 bedroom MKV. Plus 1st 2nd & 3rd, @ SSR. It's going to be awesome!!!!!! I can't believe I got through so easy. LETS ALL MEET FOR A OPENING NIGHT TOAST! Let the celebration begin Aug, 4th.

Just curious - Has DVC ever had an issue with a resort not opening on time? We are fairly new members and are thinking of BLT for a few days in August. Any chance that it might not open as planned? What would they do in a situation like that? Would hate to plan the vacation time, buy airline tickets and then not have a place to stay...

We're there in a SV studio on 4th & 5th, I wanted an MK view studio but they had all gone by the time I got through (took about 45 minutes with a busy signal and 20 minutes on hold) I had the option of a LV studio but as I couldn't get the MK view I decided to save the points for next year.

Really looking forward to being there on opening day

Not going for opening day but want to say congrats to all of you. I am totally jealous... Please promise to post your thoughts on how "home" measures up but don't celebrate too much, we need you to be able to type coherently
