we just hit the 30 day mark for our first ever Christmas time visit! Does anyone know if we need MVMCP and Candlelight tickets in advance or should we wait to check on weather?

For the MVMCP it can depend on the day you go. It does sell out sometimes. You might want to check and get your tickets ahead of time. For the Candlelight Processional you have to wait in the standby line that day and people do get in line well in advance. You can also eat a restaurant that offers a CP package and that will guarantee you a seat, but you do have to wait in line for that too. You will just be seated ahead of the standby people.
