Since we usually get early flights, we stop at Sams and stock up for our stay at WDW.
One case of 32 bottles cost less than 3 bottles in the parks.
Also get the asst. pack of chips which means no stale chips!
Anyone else make a warehouse run?

Thanks, that's a great suggestion! I'm a Sam's Club member, so if we ever have a car (we usually just do WDW transportation) we'll look into this.

Here are some of the things we buy:

Gatorade, DH and DS think they have to have it!
Fruit rollups or fruit snacks
Huneybuns
Pop tarts
Water
Juice drinks
Chips

I wanted to add that on our last trip my DH had me buy a smalll pack of gatorade and a couple of the powdered containers. He saved the bottles and then he made his own every day.

Either way it is much cheaper than buying 4 - 6 of those a day @ 2.50 a bottle int he parks. Same with the water!

Now if I could only find those Mickey bars someplace in bulk!!!!

Lori

Don't forget they deals thay have on Hot Pockets, pot pies (good for microwave cooking) and eggs and milk. We haven't done this yet, but will next time for sure. It is closer than Super Walmart and not nearly as crazy. Great deal for filling your gas tank too!

Does anyone have good directions to the nearest Sam’s from, lets say, Boardwalk? We have a car each time we go but don’t get far away from Disney property.

this looks like a close one from Sam's Club Website

4763 WEST IRLO BRONSON MEM HWY, KISSIMMEE , FL 34746

This is 192 which is easy to get to from WDW property. If you need any help the front desk or valet stand at your hotel can give you directions, and map.

:earsboy: We always go to Sam's Club before going to WDW for our DVC stay. ::yes::

We pack non-perishable items in a big suitcase. Then we use the same suitcase coming home to pack all of the goodies we purchased. ::MickeyMo

I thought my wife was the only one who did this. We actually fill a suitcase with water, snacks, and other items from Sams.
I sometimes wonder what the airline inspectors think when they x-ray our luggage.

SAM'S is very easy to find. Drive down Hotel Plaza Blvd (near Downtown Disney). At the stoplight (Crossroads Shopping Center will be directly in front of you), turn RIGHT. This is route #535. Follow this road all the way down to route #192. Turn LEFT onto #192. SAM'S is just a little way up the road on your LEFT! Soon there will be a Super Target opening in this area too! Good luck!

We always do a Sam's run for water plus... the muffins, milk, bag of salad, other fruit, 10 pack of Dove Bars, OJ, pasta and sauce, roasted chicken and whatever else in the prepared meals that the kids want. PLUS gas.. much cheaper . and worth the trip

As I usually drive to WDW, we go to Sam's beforehand and get all of our items. Many listed above including water, muffins, breakfast bars, chips, soft drinks and already cooked bacon (just love heating up a few pieces in 30 seconds). Gotta love Sam's.

From a price and quality comparision, Costco is superior to Sams

The tremendous quality used in the holiday and summer merchandise is unmatched. I read that Costco is the #1 seller of wine in the U.S.!

We just drove down in May for the 1st time. I was really really young when I went with my parents so this was My first time take my DW, MIL and SIL down there.

I did notice a Sams Club on the left side of 192 (north I think??) on or way to walmart. I said next time we go, we are not bringing any extra food with us and we will stock our villa there the first night.

That sams also has a gas station which could give members a break on the cost. I don't know about down there but here in suburb of Detroit, MI gas hit $2.10 for Unleaded Regular today.

We have memberships to both (recently acquired the Sams membership after years ), and we agree. While they are both very nice...and I can find ways to spend money in either store...Costco's selection and quality have Sams beat. Also, their Kirkland brand products have a lifetime guarantee.

We've been loyal Costco members since the first one opened in our area. Unfortunately, we've moved just a bit further away and that area is a traffic nightmare these days. The Sams is brand new (clean bathrooms!) and a little off the beaten path...so I've been going there lately.

I bought a bottle of Pinot Grigio at Costco yesterday! We buy almost all of our wine there...unless we're into trying something different...which is when I wander across the street over to CostPlus to browse. :D

We are way off topic here!! We think Costco is by far the best. We've been members of Sam's, BJ's and Costco. Costco is the only one we renew every year. However :( we recently moved and Costco is about a 45 minute drive each way so we tend to shop BJ's more now.
