We already own at BWV and had been considering a resale so we would have more vacation options. We decided a better choice would be to buy at BCV even thought we haven't seen it yet. The deciding factors for us were location (not a plus over a resale, but we wanted the Epcot location), SAB (5 boys 1yo-11yo), and variety. We just ASSUMED that the Disney quality would not let us down. Based on the trip reports so far, I think we made a good decision. We'll see for ourselves in September. How did you decide?

We bought at BCV sight unseen. We went to our first DVC open house back in 1995 and wanted to buy in at OKW, but with 2 kids heading into college, the money wasn't there at the time. In April, 2000, my youngest son was on a marching band trip to Disney's Magic Music Days and we flew down to watch the band perform at EPCOT, etc. It was then we found out about the BCVs going up and we knew that by the time they'd be open, our oldest would be done with college and we could dedicate that payment to a DVC purchase.

Sure enough, we went down in March and bought into the BVCs and can honestly say we *wish* we could have done it sooner! We had our first trip "home" earlier this month and are looking forward to many more wonderful vacations!

We vacationed at WDW in May 2002, at Beach Club. Saw the newly finished builing, saw the video on the in-room cable about DVC, and started thinking hard. I could'nt resist, knowing our 14 month old could enjoy this until she was 39!! I called for info when we got home, so I guess you can say we bought sight unseen (other than the outside walls. the construction walls were still up in May)

Cheers, Welcome home

64 days till our first trip home

Me. Had been thinking about DVC for a while, but the location, SAB with two water sprouts for kids, and the incentive when we signed was too much.

We also bought sight unseen, but it wasn't quite as big a leap of faith as it was for the rest of you, since we already owned at BWV and we needed more points anyway. As soon as they went up for sale in Feb, we signed up for another contract. We will not be able to stay there till next Easter, it's driving me crazy to wait!

Cru,

We'll be back "home" at the BCVs over Easter too! Got a studio all reserved!

I think most of us who have been to disney numerous times know that the two safest bets when you go to disney are that 1) you will leave broke, and 2) You can expect the highest of quality and comfort from anything with the disney name on it......well except maybe POP CENTURY, I for one think letting a 4 year old design a building is taking the family thing a bit to far:p :p

Pin,
We decided to spring for a 1 bedroom at Easter, since I had to bank this year's points anyway. We are also going to use the incentive then, so we will have a nice, long vacation!

I bought first DVC at HH sight unseen, and then did an add-on at BCV, sight unseen. I've not even made my first "trip home" yet. I BLAME it all on you people on this board--and I hope to continuing blaming you for the next 40 years.;)

We also bought BCV without seeing it first. But, having toured BWV, OKW and VWL we had a good idea of what to expect. As gmboy said, you know that with Disney you can rely on quality and parting with your hard-earned non-Disney dollars, I'd also add a third sure bet with any Disney vacation- sore feet!

We can't wait until our first trip "home", I know we won't be disappointed.

We too saw the construction, but planned on purchasing the minute we heard it was a rumor that it was going to be built. We have stayed many times at the Beach Club and loved the area. It was pretty much a no-brainer for us.

We also toured old key west in 1995, and had intentions to purchase then but a surprise pregnancy cancelled that out. I had inquired again about dvc and wilderness was selling but that just didnt do it for us. When we became aware beach club was preselling and noticed the price was less then the previously offered price of wilderness, as well as a better intrest rate , the conditions were just right to go for it. So we did sight unseen over the phone. That was in Feb. Then we took a march trip(not on points it had already been planned ironically to WL , and visited the construction site and as soon as we got home called up and did an ad on!!

33 Days 12 Hrs 48 Mins 39 Secs until my first trip home!!

We purchased sight unseen as well, and can't wait to visit. Some of our friends are members and have stayed and rave about it.

We also bought site unseen but had stayed at the Yacht Club when it first opened so we were very familiar with the location, SAB, etc. We almost purchased in 1999 but heard a rumor about BCV so we decided to wait and we are very happy we did. We will go home for the first time in June.

We purchased sight unseen, and we are so glad that we did! We are very happy with our new home

We haven't closed our purchase yet, but we are buying BCV sight-unseen. As a matter of fact, we have never seen any of the DVC properties and have never even been to the Epcot Resorts/Boardwalk area of WDW.

Still, after 2 trips to WDW in the moderates and a visit at DLParis, we are sure we can make good use of DVC. Having just had our 3rd DD encouraged us along as well since the regular rooms are tight for a family of 5.

Thanks to the encouragement of everyone here and an excellent sales guide, I have absolute confidence that we will love it for a long time to come.

Our favorite Disney resort is the Beach Club so when we heard they were building BCV we knew we didn't have a choice and bought in February.

In 1999 we went to visit OKW, yet never took the tour. We were not overly impressed with the pool, parking near room (we never have a car, so that was not a plus for us) we liked the cars to be neatly hidden - like at the old Dixie Landings. We figured we would just come down every other year and stay at Dixie. We came home very happy with our decision not to buy DVC.......

once home we got a dvc brochure in the mail and started looking at BWV -- WOW!! THis was just what we wanted - our favorite parks are MGM and Epcot. SO we bought BWV site unseen. One of the best decisions we have ever made, and now we added on at BCV -- with a lot more knowledge then we did the first time. At least we have seen the BC, know the location, and have been a DVC Owner.

We got 100 pts, so we will go every 3rd year to BCV using 300 pts - banking up and borrowing. so we can book at 7 months, then do the same with our 200 boardwalk pts, that will give us 300 pts each year. 300 BWV, 300 BWV, 300 BCV - and so goes the pattern.

We bought OKW totally sight unseen. We looked in the windows at the BW sales center and walked by BCV, but for all intents and purposes we bought BCV four months later sight unseen when we need more points for our 2003 DCL cruise.
