I miss them so much, and the freedom from scheduling every moment of my vacation months out and not being able to change on the fly, so much that are no longer going 4-5 times per year. Our last trip was in July 2015 and had we not had a mixup in November 2016 and had to plan a quick vacation in 6 days, we would have still not gone back. Our trip in November cemented our decision not to go back for a good long while.
We had annual passes every year. We did at least one 9 day trip and often a second, with several long weekends in-between. They've lost that business. But I don't think it's only us - I was reading an article about a month ago and it appears theme park attendance was down last yer. Didn't surprise me in the least. After reading some of the responses here, we're not the only people who feel this way. We used to go there just to relax. We would go to a park, get on a few favorite rides, and leave to do something else. Now, if you don't plan a month in advance, you're not going to get those fast passes. And if you have to change your plans for a day, your fastpasses are worthless because you can't replace them at a different time, even on the same day. For example, in November we were never able to get mine train, nor the new Frozen attraction (that wasn't a big surprise), nor could we get a reservation at almost any restaurant we wanted, including the signatures. No big deal, as we don't go to Disney for the food, but it would have been nice to get in a nice meal at one of our favorites. I ended up using my Levy Brother's loyalty card to walk in and be seated immediately at Portobello.
I'm hoping they realize the biggest complaint is about having to schedule so far in advance and not being able to change. If they fix that, we will go back more often, but until then, well, Disney, it's been real
