We live in an apartment so there's no yard work to do & if something breaks, we call the landlord. The condo we're planning to buy covers all external maintenance too.
He used to moan about how I "never" do the dishes until I offered to trade the dishes for vacuuming, cleaning the toilet, washing the floors, cleaning the tub, the stove & countertops.
He countered with adding cat gak & litterbox duties to my list which I rejected, so the status quo remains in effect.
Mouse rescues are usually a two-person job.
Laundry is a joint effort except for my hand washing. We get our groceries delivered from peapod or we go to the store together.
He also takes care of the car since he drives it, so he's the one it breaks down on.
