who do you use

I agree with you. Just one more reason to appreciate the stellar services of FD&D, who do "live and breathe Disney" :goodvibes I know I've read many posts from people who went to an agency like CAA, for instance, and the agency's "Disney specialist" didn't know even basic things a real Disney specialist TA would know kwim? Doing some homework before you go to an agency is probably a good gauge of how much the agent actually knows before you book with them is surely a good idea. :thumbsup2

Last I heard she was banned from the DisBoards:confused3

Last I heard she was banned from the DisBoards

I'm a little confused as to how a whole travel agency can be banned? :confused3 Can your workplace get you banned from the DIS?

Pretty self explanatory by the looks of it

Why is that?

To the best of my knowledge, the DIS boards are NOT owned or operated by Disney, but are run by travel agency.

If what you say is true and another travel agency was banned from these boards, my educated guess is that it was because of the fear of competition. :)

castle dining worth it?? (if we can get in)

It is truly very expensive. However, with 2 DDs, we just had to do it once. And the whole experience was priceless to us. They were 6 and 9 when we did it. They had never been inside the castle, and just watching them walk through with their eyes wide open with amazement and awe :cutie:, and their smiles and giggles, that alone was worth it to us. Today, we are glad we did it, because we would never get that reaction again.

Our DDs are too old for princesses now...so that time has passed for us. But if your DD is young and into princesses, this may be the time to do it. Just be prepared to pay a small fortune though. ;)

Would we do it again...maybe with our grandchildren one day. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear you are confused.:confused3 Christine's travel agency obviously is not banned, however last I heard Christine was banned. I talk about Westjet Vacations, Flight Centre, Air Canada Vacations and lots of people talk about CAA so obviously the powers that be do not feel threatened. Glad to hear she provides such exceptional service even though she is not personally allowed to post on these boards......welcome back to the Disboards;)

I'm unsure how one has to do with the other? Wouldn’t you still good at your job even if you weren't allowed to post on these boards? :confused3

But you are right, they are indeed exceptional at what they do. So exceptional in fact that in my recent email newsletter from them, I learned they are the top travel agency across Canada that sells Disney Destinations.

As a result, they were invited to meet with Randy Garfield; President of the Walt Disney Travel Company. :thumbsup2

You can read about that meeting here: http://www.travelpress.com/PIX/index.php?pid=1311

So clearly posting on these boards and being good at your job are two TOTALLY different things.

I know I'm in the minority here but NO! lol I much prefer 1900 over the castle. :yay: imho the character interaction is way better.
