Who do you tip?

I have read different things, so please share with me who you tip.

I have read about people tipping-

MME bus drivers
Maid in resort rooms

If you do tip who and how much....

I have the DDP and know tip is included, but plan to tip extra for great service.

If I put anything under the bus, I tip the ME bus driver coming from the airport. If I just get on the bus with a carryon, then I don't.

I give Mousekeeping $1 per person per day.

If I really, really enjoy the bus driver from the resorts to one of the parks, I will give them a tip.

I tip $1 per bag for the person who brings my bags to my room (I leave a note taped to my door that I have left a tip on the table).

I tip $1 per bag if I have my bags taken to the front when we leave.

If I have good service when we are on the DDP, I leave an extra tip. If it is just average or not good, I don't. We leave a 15% tip for average service and at least 20% for good service at the sit-down restaurants when we are not on the DDP.

Other than wait staff, we tipped the mousekeeping staff ($2 per person per day is considered normal), plus anyone that handled our bags, such as bell hops ($1 per bag). Other than our towncar driver, I think that was it.

I have to add here....we left a tip for the maid (mousekeeping) each day. One day my DH was in the room when the maid came in (he was on his computer doing some work). When the maid saw the envelope I had left, he said she was so touched that we had thought of her.

Especially during the holidays, I think it is very appropriate to tip the resort staff. Just my opinion.

Good service deserves a tip.

We tend to our own bags since we drive...and it is just easier for us to go ahead and do it.
I do tip mousekeeping $1 per person per day...and I pick up after my family alot, so aside from a quick drop off of towels, & making the beds, alot of times there is not much for the maid to even worry about. I know there are envelopes you can print out on here for mousekeeping although I have never even looked for them. I just sit down with the kids prior to the trip and we make one out for each night we will be gone. I know alot of people say that you don't get any better service, but we came back to a new and creative towel animal each night.
