It's the Disney Dining Experience card. It used to be only available for Florida residents, but now it is for any AP holder for $50. It saves 20% off (including alcohol) at many restaurants.

If my trip is in May, should I call to order the DDE card now? If I order it now, does that mean it is effective as soon as I order it and the one year starts immediately?

Let me give you an example- I am leaving in 8 weeks. I have heard due to demand it is taking anywhere form 4-6 weeks to 6-8 weeks to arrive in the mail. So I ordered yesterday 2/17 for my trip beginning 4/17. It is valid until 3/31/06.

Personally I would wait until closer to your trip...they will email you a confirmation that works just like the card until your card arrives then you might get more time out of the card....

Example: Our trip is March 24, 2005 I'm waiting until March 2005 to order the card..that way from everything I have read it will be valid until April 2006...so I will get 3 trips out of the card instead of 2...
