Who can we call?

No, we would not expect to hear the outcome of their meeting.

As to why we would want to write a letter, those who are higher up should know what is going on in their areas, and likely don't hear about everything that happens lower down.

I'm not sure why anyone would question the incident when I did not even state what happened?

No one is here is questioning that something happened, however, Scupper is right, there are two sides to every story. I wouldn't expect any manager to take any kind of action until they hear both sides.

They've heard your side, now they have a responsibility to hear the other side. What you may view as really bad and discriminatory may be no such thing.

I think if the manager of transportation is handling it, there is no need to send a letter. It was one incident, not multiple incidents. If something breaks in your car, do you write a letter to the CEO of the company? Not generally. You let the dealer handle it. I understand that your incident is about a person, not a car and was very emotional, but I think writing a letter is going overboard and makes it look like you didn't get whatever results you wanted from transportation and are looking for a better result from upper management, not trying to make them aware.

My mother talked to them, and she said it sounded like our portion of this was done, and didn't think we would hear back. I may write a letter to the higher ups anyway! Is there actually an address to do that? What was said could technically warrant an ADA complaint, but I don't think there is really any point in doing that, I would rather just know it was handled internally! They have not been overly apologetic, but have said it was wrong.

Unless he was barred from the monorail, which it doesn't sound as though he was, seems to me it would be pretty difficult to claim an ADA violation.

Which is why both sides need to be heard by management.

Not sure if it have audio and the sooner the better it might be one that dose not store the video for more then a certain period of time. Yes those are monorail cms and their managers are in transportation all the resort can really do is call them and have them come and meet you. Sorry it happened I am sure you wanted to get away from the cm but I would had them call for a manager right their or at the next stop. Well hat cm needs to be shown the way off Disney property the sooner the better and the other cm that didn't listen first and not offer to call for a manager needs to be dealt with to. I just got back tue night from a short trip rode the monorails once no real problems their cms don't seem to be the friendlier ones.Differently not as friendly as the bus drivers :) Their no need to be disrespectfully to any guest.

I would I also write Disney once you talk to transportation management and once they make it right. With all the names of the cms you talked to and the original cm and let them know what happened. The higher ups at Disney will not be happy to find out what happened and will make sure proper action is taking so it never happens again.

The part I put in bold I feel is wrong to say. It was jumping to judgment with no facts to base it on. As Rusty Scupper and others have said there are 2 sides to every story. Hopefully guests and CMs alike will be treated with fairness.

I couldn't agree more...talking about firing a CM based on one complaint, and we don't even have any idea what the complaint is.

I have a life outside disboards and don't live in these boards worrying what other disers will says I will edit. I see lots of diser say wrong things but don't say anything I guess I have better things to do with my time. Thanks sorry if it offend anyone that I thought a cm should be fired and shown the door I guess that was worse then making comment about a kid in a wheelchair my bad.

You don't even know what happened yet you called for the monorail CM to be tossed off Disney property. I felt like you were fueling the fire of the OPs emotions and to the CM in question it wasn't fair. That's all I said. You could have merely provided the info that was being asked for. For the record I think all of us have a life outside of the Dis boards, some of us even have friends & family that are CMs. Just expect fair treatment of all that are concerned when something occurs.

You have NO idea what was even said, or anything else. What you have is one mom who was offended. Maybe she was justified, maybe not. And for that, someone should fired?

Sorry your right I shouldn't of said it I was upset that it happened and sorry I said it. But I don't think the op is out of line for writing Disney sorry if no one agrees with me. It a letter to Disney will write back or call and speak with her. It her right to do if she feel like she needs to do that then let her. I don't feel the way others are talking to her are right but and fueling the negative aspect of the disboards but I didn't say anything. I figure she only read it since she was asking he question I have a problem and go over board I admit that I like buses better hen monorails so when saw monorails get a complaint maybe I let it cloud my judgement and out that in their. it didn't fuel her to file a complaint with the ada right away she didn't get out of hand she stayed pretty cool only thing she wants is to write a letter to Disney.

So in the end of my babble sorry if I offend anyone I shouldn't of put that in the post and I am wrong for it please move on. Go on with your daily lives like nothing happened I removed it the cm not fired Disney handling it like they should and the op should be allowed to write a letter in peace and not to be made to feel bad to do so.

Either do you and for you to say she shouldn't write a letter to Disney which is her right if she wants to. is pretty sad yeah I was wrong in saying that but before you say anything you look at what you posted two wrongs don't make a right. Just so tired of what disboards come to it used be much better you use to be able to help people but now no. Just going stop helping people wasting my time looking up people names and numbers and stick to bus questions it not worth it.

If you read disboards their should be a cm fired every min for nonsense so fine I took one that said something to a kid in a wheelchair. Didn't know what it was a made a mistake by saying he should been fired I should just said he should be investigated and left it at that.

Good for you, that is very nice to step back and see that it wasn't right your initial reaction. I agree that if the OP has a complaint she should pursue it within the proper channels and I believe that is what she has done. I don't think anyone here has said she shouldn't.

No offense taken David, Ruthie :)

For the record, I never said she shouldn't write a letter. If she feels that strongly about whatever happened, then she should write a letter to complain.

I don't think anyone was attacking you, and I'm sorry if you took it that way. It just seems over the top to say that someone should be fired when we don't even know if the person in question did anything wrong.

Again I am sorry for writiing that it was wrong I was wrong for writing that I shouldn't of write that I made a mistake. I should be fired for writing that okay I made a mistake and I am sorry for writing it and wish I could take it back and I am sorry to you for everything.

Thought you was one of he diser telling her it was over the top to write Disney. I 150 percent agree with your ada post.

Again so where clear I am sorry for everything and for writing that post and I made a mistake you are right they need to investigate first and follow the proper channels of discipline.

Eh, I don't see anything wrong with following up the phone call with a polite letter. In these days when CYS and hushing things up is SOP, you never know if the particular person in management who should know about what happened is the one who got notified by phone, if the phone call was recorded. I follow up business phone calls with letters and emails all the time just to have it in writing, and I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to do the same thing when reporting a problem. Especially if it gives you extra time to collect your thoughts.

OP's question has been asked and answered. I hope the situation is resolved appropriately -- whatever that may entail. OP feels it is an incident worth reporting, and if they so choose, they can escalate the issue. They have the information necessary to do so.

The rest of this thread has deteriorated so I am closing it.
