Who bothers with 'the dibb' forums?

I'm a 'dual' member too and always use both boards.

I'm OrlandoBelle on every forum I use except for this one, but then the DIS was the first ever board I joined and I had no imagination then lol !!

Shirley can I change my member name without losing my post count again ;)

:Pinkbounc

...... LOL Tracey! Don't talk to me about lost postcounts  !!
.. and no you can't :teeth:

You can actually, but you will need to get admin to do it.

As long as the username "OrlandoBelle" hasn't already been registered then you can get your current user name changed to the new one without any loss of posts or counts.

You would need to use your new username to login with your current password.

I would imagine that although the vBulletin board software allows you to do this; with the number of members on the DIS I would assume that it is not something that the administrators would want to encourage - imagine who much effort and confusion there would be if a large number of users suddenly decided they wanted to change their user names and retain their original post counts :)

I use both too, although I only discovered the DIBB a short time ago.

Both sites are fab and certainly help me get my Disney fix when time allows :)

How long do you normally have to wait for your registration to kick in?
I have been waiting nearly a week for an e mail and haven't heard a thing.
:( don't you want me DIBB?:(

I didn't realise you had to wait for registration to kick in!

I know the board owner is on holiday at the moment. I'll let someone else know for you FF

Tim has it correct...it's not that we can't change User Names, but it is policy not to do so unless you have registered using your real name and decide afterwards that you don't want people knowing your surname. Otherwise, there are just too many people who keep asking us to keep tweaking things just for cosmetic reasons.

As for the DIBB, well I don't stop by there much any more because I've not had much time recently, but I have lurked there and have *gasp* even posted there on occasion too! ;)
