I know this sounds stupid but all of a sudden I can't remember what we've done in the past. I'm fairly certain that we usually avoided the park that opens early and go to another.

Tell me your strategy!!!! Does it really matter in Feb. lower crowds?

We do have a 2yr old so we might do it for MK only. But he's such a late sleeper we're never out before 9am.

Thanks!

We are early risers, so we always hit morning emh. Sunday Jan. 23, we had fantasy land to ourselves. Hit all of fantasy land, including philharmagic, with no wait at all. As long as my kids are early risers, (I am), we will do morning emh. We can get done in two hours at MK on early entry day that most people take most of the day to do. But that is the way my kids like to do things. Minimal waits and lots of rides. When the park begins to fill, 11ish, we hop to another park or just hang out.

We ALWAYS avoid EMH and that park for the day. We even cancelled a CRT Breakfast in MK to avoid it.

That being said, I don't think it will be much of an issue in February, unless you are going President's Day weekend....which is historically, busier that normal Feb weekends.

This depends on when we go for us. We've been during Thanksgiving week several times and definitely do EE- the least crowded time of the day. Then, if the park is too full by lunch we hop to another one.
This past Dec. we were there 5-11 and only used EE once. We basically avoided the EE parks- but the one day we did EE MK was more crowded than the rest of the week- still very slow though. On a non-EE day, we did Fantasyland- everything- in less than 1 hour with no waits. So, if you are going during a slow time of the year- either way is fine. princess:

I like to avoid EMH at Epcot because Test Track and the few other attractions that are open are usually mobbed with resort guests. Instead I like to go to Epcot on a non EMH day like a half an hour before the park opens since the park opens a little before its scheduled opening and many people don't know that.

Our PLAN is to avoid the EMH parks completely. But we'll see how crowds are once we get there, and also see how we feel (if we think we can wake up earlier and do one of the morning EMH, or stay up a little later and do an evening one...) Our 3 boys are 5, 3 and 11 months, so our plans may change as our trip goes on... :)

We tend to do EMH for MK & MGM only. I think AK is much more crowded on their EMH days & Epcot doesn't really have that much open. We use FastPass for Test Track & Mission Space. I think doing EMH at MK is definitely worth it - you do most of Fantasyland with waits. With a 2 year old - those rides are the MOST FUN!

(mine are much older now, but we still do MK EMH - gotta have our Dumbo fix!)

We always do MK Early Entry. Go straight for Dumbo, and then hit the rest of fantasy land.

We try for a late breakfast at the castle, and then maybe shop a while, and move out to a different park.

This year, if the early day stays the same, we have a 11am PS at Kona, so we will go to early entry, do what we can in 2 1/2 hours, and then ride over to Poly.

We have done early entry at Epcot, but have never with MGM, or AK

If we can be one of the first ones at the gate at rope drop, we go for it. If not....we don't do that park that day.

We usually avoid morning EMH parks. We like to do a Character breakfast in the morning and getting to a park by 8:00 to eat breakfast and be in the park for th 9:00 opening time is early enough. I wouldn't want to have to get up an hour earlier.

We will do EMH @ MK, but we always plan on leaving by 11 am. We won't do EMH at any other park.

We think EMH is great, and usually take advantage of it. However, we have a rule that we are out of any EMH park before lunch. That way you get the benefit of it before the crowds overwhelm you.

I like to do the morning EMH at MK but we leave by 11 when it gets more crowded. I was thinking of going to AK on the EMH morning but posters here have talked me out of it.

We used the early morning admission on our very first trip (years and years ago) because I had a character breakfast scheduled at Cinderella's castle at an unholy hour! Although it was neat getting to the park while it was still empty and the maintenance workers were re-potting plants in the MK, it was not a hit with my late-sleeping family. We've never done it again. :cool1:

We only do EMH at AK. What concerns me now is how do the extended hours program affect the parks. Do I avoid the extended hours park and be there all the earlier the next AM. Any Ideas or feedback, I am working on April plans and I am not sure our old tour plans will work.

We used to swear by EMH, loved it and enjoyed looking at video shot when it appears we are the only ones in the park.

But this past year was terrible. Midway through the trip we changed all our plans to avoid the EE park at all costs. It was PACKED to get in, packed once we got it, and only grew from there. The whole "week before Christmas is a slower time thing" has really changed. The advertisement of EE as a main perk for staying onsite has funneled people in over 13,000 rooms to one park for one hour. We're staying away from now on.

I wonder that too. Will more people not be able to park hop and how will that effect the crowd levels? For sure I would NOT consider an EMH if I did not have park hopping available to me. Also how will the night time hours effect the afternoon touring as people hop to the evening hours park. I don't think our old touring plans will work as well. We'll see I guess as everyone returns from Spring Break trips. :confused3
