I dialed and redialed for almost all of the 2 hours last night and if I was lucky I think I only got through about 10 -15 times. So my fingers are crossed. GO CLAY!!



And not offense to the Rubin fans, I honestly do not think that Rubin sings all that well.

I personally didn't think that Ruben did all that great last night and couldn't understand what the judges were gushing about. The funny thing is that I was a Ruben fan at first and then changed to Clay (I'm much more passionate about being a Clay fan then I was about Ruben though.)

I think next week's showdown between Clay's fans and Ruben's fans should be interesting! (Much as I love Kim, too, I just don't think she has the fan base to continue past tonight.)

Me! I was voting for him the full 2 hours last night. I'm with you, honeywolf7, I was a Ruben fan at the beginning of the competition and became a Clay convert. Ruben has become 'stale' to me - he sounds the same every week, while Clay shows that he can sing virtually every genre of music. Go Clay!

Now that Josh is gone, I am a Clay fan, although none of the final three really are what I consider to be an "Idol". They are all lacking the sex appeal that I associate with a star. I agree with Simon about them all sounding better with my eyes closed. I guess I am just shallow.

I think Clay is a sweetheart! I don't expect him to win with the way the judges have been trying to push Ruben on everyone but if Clay doesn't I think he'll have a great career on Broadway.

Did anyone see the skit on SNL this past week spoofing AI?! Talk about ROTFLMBO!!!!!!

ME!! ME!! ME!! I love Clay! I love his voice and he lives close to where I grew up. I got about 20 votes for him through last night.

And, DisneyDave when you mentioned a lounge singer, I instantly had visions of Bill Murray from SNL singing "Star Wars." I won't be able to get that hysterical image out of my mind all night now!

Loved Clay from the auditions--never got the Ruben thing at all. . .still don't.

Last year I liked Kelly from the beginning, but wavered midway--couldn't decide between Kelly & Tamyra--but went back to Kelly after Tamyra was voted off.

I have to admit to having a little bit of a crush on him (and Roger's a tiny bit jealous)....I actually didn't think Clay was all that bad when he auditioned but I was embarassed to admit it because he definitely met some people's definition of nerdy back then. I, too, will buy his CD.

I'm a Clay fan. I don't know what is so special about Ruben. He has a nice enough voice but I don't enjoy his performances. Ruben sounded like he was sick last night. His voice was a bit scratchy. He seems very flat. When Clay sings he really emotes and his range is awesome.
