Who all is buying things for themselves

this year. I hear about it all the time while I'm working.

And I just did this morning. I bought myself one of those handy battery starters/air pump thingies.
I've wanted one forever, and the person that was supposed to buy it for me never did. So, I got it myself and I won't have to worry about it anymore.
I'm not even taking it out of my trunk to wrap it. lol It's staying put.

I bought myself a Mickey ink pen. I consider it a Christmas present to myself (even though I've been using it ).

If I want something, I usually just go get it. But, due to my past record, my wife stopped me in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago and (while waving her finger at me) told me to stop buying things till after Christmas. I had nothing in mind at the time, but I have been put on notice.

Nope, especially this year. With buying the house, its just all the best if I don't.

Well...the kids think our 2nd Annual Surprise Christmas Trip to WDW is really for them...

But, it's really for me!

I have to! For years, I tried dropping hints to DH about what I wanted for Christmas, even cutting out pages from catalogs, etc. and he NEVER got any of it for me. A couple of years ago, I bought something for myself, gave it to him and told him to wrap it and give it to me from one of our DS's. Christmas morning, I'm opening my gifts and it wasn't there. So I asked DH where it was. "Oh, I forgot about it."

So this year, when I was out and saw something I wanted, I bought it, and I have a little stack of stuff for him to give me. I know where it is, and tomorrow is my wrapping day, so I'm even going to wrap my own gifts. MEN!

I'm my mom's personal shopper......I get gifts for her to give to DH, DD & DS....and to me. I really don't mind the others but I wish she would at least ask someone else DH, cousins, closest friend) to shop for me!

I do this sometimes too. I've tried not to do it as much this year as I have cut back on spending. However, I did buy myself a Hallmark ornament today and I bought myself a couple things from Yankee candle about a month ago. So, yes....I guess I bought more for myself than I realized! lol

I buy myself a few things every year for either Gary or Max to give me - Usually stuff I need & would buy anyways, just to have a couple more gifts under the tree -
I give the guys a couple specific ideas, but also let them know I expect a suprise or two -

I need a new sweater to go with my new pants, possibly to wear on Christmas. So while out shopping for that I came across a great sale on Disney tops. I got a swetshirt for 12.74 & a fleece top for 14.99. Both Mickeys! How could I pass up that great deal? I consider it a "done with my shopping" gift. LOL!

So far I've bought a record player/CD player. I also bought a set of pots and pans for me.

With DH confined to the house now there's no way for him to shop so........................

Ordered a few things from LTD - and ordered a few more things last night on-line..

Nothing big - just books, videos, software, a small package of scrapbooking stuff, etc..

Actually I'd be happy just to go hog wild in the Dollar Store! LOL
