Who actually likes the Stitch attraction???

I think it's a cute attraction. If your a stitch fan you will most likely enjoy it. Some people don't favor this attraction because it's loud and gets dark and the seats are tight/awkward. If your family isn't afraid of dark places then I say try it atleast once :)

We are a family of 4 Stitch fans and we most certainly do not enjoy it. The smell is awful, I don't see any reason for those crazy shoulder restraints and in general as Stitch fans we think it could be so much cuter!!

While I agree tha tthe Stitch attraction ain't great, it's also not THAT bad, at least not as bad as many posters make it out to be. It's worth doing once, with no wait. The Pre-Show is actually better than the attraction itself, and worth seeing. Definitely check it out if you never have.

I hate Stitch, I hate the attraction, and the fact that it used to be one of the greatest attractions of all time before they ruined, makes me hate it even more.

It's a ride I like to go on at least once. It's not the greatest but still for me...I like to go on it at least once a trip.......

We go on it on hot days so sit and get out of the heat, in my opinion the switch to stitch was really unnecessary - we have great memories about the prior incarnate of the ride-
Oh, the reasons for those shoulder restraints? Kids had a tendency to want to jump out when the ride started due to fear....

True story.

LOL, I don't get Stitch on any level.

Me too! Stich gives me the creeps, I don't even watch the movie any more. The attraction was better as Alien Encounter (thought a lot of people hated it then too).:confused3

We didn't mind it! I thought it was cute. Not a "must do" but it was pouring rain and the line was covered so we appreciated it :)

Nope. We all love Stitch but after going on the ride once that was enough for us.

Shame really as Disney has a great character there who ten years ago sold a huge amount of merch etc. however all Stitch fans got was a quick refurb ride.

Here's my thing with Stitch. I've only done it once, and as I recall I spent the entire length of the ride/show/whatever waiting for it to start. I figured that if they'd gone to the effort of completely immobilizing us all in those restraints, surely something was going to move at some point. But no, it was just sounds and stinks. When it ended I realized that I should have been paying more attention rather than bracing myself for the "ride". So I have resolved to endure Stitch ONCE more just to see what I missed during while I was distracted by my lofty expectations. I don't expect I will be any more impressed.

I don't mind it at all. I have very firm memories of the Alien Encounter, can't recall the exact spelling.

I think its interesting how little they changed to make it into Stitch!

I've never experienced the Stitch attraction in Magic Kingdom. We have our first trip in over a decade set for this September. I see many comments throughout many threads where people take shots at this attraction for being so bad. I'm wondering who on here actually likes it?!?!?! And why do you like it??? I'm very curious.
Its OK, but many people probably don't even realize this is another Disney re-cycle ride, meaning they kept the building design and hardware and just re-themed it. This use to be the Alien Encounter and then back to my kid days Mission to Mars and Flight to the Moon. for me I want something new and also more rides on property to eliminate 60-120 minute wait lines, to counter balance the DVC focus of Disney, rather than their customers. I am on vacation, so waiting in lines is not part of a vacation. For my young daughters, they enjoyed Stitch. They grew up with Stitch and had no history with the "ride location."

I love it. I wish it would have gotten a larger budget, but I see why it got the one it did and I think it gets too much undeserved criticism.

One of my only complaints about WDW is that usually attractions/entertainment are typically built for girls or built to be gender-neutral. There's not a ton of things that are designed specifically for boys in mind. Fantasyland, for instance, has attractions that are either built exclusively for girls (the entire New Fantasyland minus 7DMT, princess meet and greets, etc.) or are gender-neutral (7DMT, peter pan, etc.).

I'm not saying that girls don't enjoy this attraction, but Stitch is great because it is built to appeal specifically to boys and it's one of the very few things at WDW to do so. I love that there is an immature, goofy attraction in the park that specifically appeals to guys and doesn't try to really target girls. Plus, it's a great attraction for dad and son to do while mom and daughter go to ariel or something.
