Hi everyone,
So I just got off the phone with DFW, and i feel more confused than before I called. the day I wanted in May there was only a 10:00 available at the WP, and we we're kind of hoping for a later one so we could have our reception afterwards, and then an illuminations dessert party, so now we're thinking of going with monday around 2:00. So the woman I spoke with today suggested a reception at Whitehall at GF, and the illuminations dessert party afterwards. We are planning on about 20-25 guests, does anyone know if that would be a good size room, and can anyone recommend any of their experiences there?

It was my first conversation with them today, so I feel like I have a million and one questions, but of course I couldn't think of any while on the phone. :teeth:

Thanks everyone:wave:

Hello disneyrox- I totally know the feeling of being confused when talking to the FTW. Due to the fact that one person may say no to one thing and another person say yes to the same question. It was scary for me but these boards as well as all my research eased those worries really really fast.

As for the Whitehall room this is a perfect spot for a reception of 20-25. It is conveinently located right near the WP however is quite a distance from the Illumination and you would need to hire transportation from disney for your guest to get into Epcot later in the evening. The only other way you could get out of paying for trasportation is if you had the reception somewhere over at the Yacht Club. They would then give you a guide that would walk you over to the Island where your dessert party would be. This is $$$ less. Ariels located at the Yacht Club area is a great place for a reception of 20-25, however I believe someone in another post stated that they would be closed soon, even though there are many many places over at the Yacht/Beach Club as well as Boardwalk to have this reception if you desired.
I had my ceremony over at the WP and then my reception at the Asbury Ballroom at the Yacht Club. I only had 27 guest and this area was just perfect for that. The only complaint I had which I have never ever stated at any time other than now is that there are no windows and it was really dark in there. Even though they did an INCREDIBLE job taking care of the lighting and to be sure that certain things stood out that needed to.

If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to email me or to post here. We all dont mind helping out at all.

We were pleasantly surprised when we found out that they were giving us the Whitehall Room & Patio as our bride's dressing room. It was a lovely room--perfect for a guest list of your size. It really had a lot of personality since it is octagonal in shape. Plus, the patio area outside the room is really nice with brick floors (and if my memory serves me, a pretty topiary too). :)

The Whitehall room is beautiful, really unique looking and elegant. it's a great size for your # of guests.
