White Water Snacks - to-go-packaging

We will be staying at the Grand for 7 nights soon and we normally order room service for breakfast as we have two little ones (ages 4 and 16 months) and eating breakfast "in room" works well for us. Hint: we order three childrens breakfasts from room service as they are big enough for all of us to share and they are much cheaper then regular breakfasts.

Question: I was looking at the White Water Snacks menu. The breakfast items are nice and much less $$ then room service. Can you call and place a order for pick up? If not can you order in person and ask for the order (example 3 full breakfasts, drinks etc) to be packaged to-go to be carried back to the room. I can picture DH trying to carry it all on plates or trays.

Thanks!

I've never called in an order (my first trip to the GC is coming up this weekend), but I do know that you can get food packaged to-go. They did that pretty easily with my nachos last year..put it in a box, in a bag.

You can easily carry a to go order to the room. Like a PP said, everything is boxed and put in plastic bags with handles. I don't think there would be any reason that your dh would have trouble carrying your breakfast for 2 adults, 1child and a toddler back to the room for you.

Also have never called. Everything was all boxed, they even added condiments for the burgers which really surprized me.

Yup, DH went and got us breakfast on our last morning, while I was packing up. He brought me back a yummy breakfast burrito, it was packaged nicely and even had a little cup of salsa on the side. SO good.

I do this every time we stay at the Grand Villas now. I walk down, order the items to go and head back up to the room. The breakfast burrito is HUGE and def. enough for 2 (unless you have a huge appetite) and very good. Their to-go packaging is actually very nice and rather sturdy.

I have never called in ahead of time...not sure that is possible.

So now I have another question.....do they have fresh fruit whether it be a whole banana or seasonal stuff like strawberries, melon etc?

I assume they have muffins, rolls for breakfast. The on line link I have seems to suggest that.

OPPS: Answering my own question here, I just looked at the on-line menu and it lists fruit cups, fruit plate, and cereal. I assume that is all out for mornings correct??

Yes, they have a good selection of different whole fruit as well as fruit salad and it's available all day long. It really is a great place. We often stop in there for a quick bite even if we're staying at one of the other resort hotels :)

There should be fruit like apples and bananas. They will be priced at Disney prices...if you'll have a car you might want to run to Vons, or if you hvae $50+ worth of things to buy, order from vons.com.

The only issue with getting stuff to go is if you have special requests. Check what's in the boxes BEFORE you go! Hallways at the Grand are rather long, and you don't want to do the whole trek and then have to go back. Twice now they've included meat in my "no meat breakfast burrito", and the last time they did it was in a takeout order...was so glad I checked, as our room was approximately 2 years away from WWS! OK I exaggerate, but seriously, when I measured it out on mapmyrun, the walk from our room to the center of the esplanade was nearly as long as the walk from Hojo. :headache:

They always have very fresh and tasty fruit. In fact we usually get the breakfast burrito and a side of fruit and split it. It's a full satisfying meal for about $11 for two. Something about their strawberries. Always so large, red, and flavorful. Yummmm,:goodvibes
