Yeah.....seems really odd it tied in with the other white rabbit lawsuit and thier atty knew about it was on it that FAST!..................seems like a set up to me........AKK

14 years old should know better...........if not a set up,another case of lack of parenting.

AKK

I think the thread title should also include "after 14 year old pulls on Rabbit's tail".

Since the video does not show it, we don't know for sure what happened prior to what we see (how "lucky" the person recording did not tape anything sooner)., but any 14 year old should know how to act with the characters.

Seriously...whether it was in "good fun" or not...that girl assaulted that character. While I admit that he probably should not have gone after her I don't think following her and having a discussion with her is totally out of line either. Even the girl's statement says that this was not the first time (her friend had done it too) and I cannot blame a person for finally reaching their limit of taking physical abuse from a Disney guest. He should not have threatened to call security though...he SHOULD have called security and had the girl and her friend thrown out of the park.

As for holding her by the neck and pinning her to the fence? That's not what I saw in the video. Stating that way is a gross overstatement of what happened. I feel bad for the white rabbit...I hope that Disney stands up for their employee. He was repeatedly assaulted by that girl and her friend and he did not respond with undue force or anything from what I saw in that video.

Disney should counter sue for harassment. You can hear the someone tell her to go do it and she does. How would she like it if someone came up to her and tugged on her belt loop?

She tugged hard too... what if she damaged the costume?

And where was the handler? I thought costumed characters always had a handler near by?

Yup, the video clearly shows the girl cutting everyone in line and pulling the tail, then smiling after the rabbit walks way.:sad2: Really? That is what is wrong with society today. I hope Disney files a counter suit and bans them from the parks.

I can't believe they would actually sue based on that video. Way to go ruining everyone else's day!

pulling a fake rabbits tale is whats wrong with society?

Most likely the rabbit was already fired and disney will settle the lawsuit so the girl who should be punished will walk away with a nice settlement.

As far as your second comment about the costume. A cm posted on another news site that posted the story, and said they used to work as a character and pulling on the tail like this girl did, is pretty painful as the whole suit is pulled down and can really hurt the neck and back.
I've never been to Disneyland, but I don't think they have character attendants when the characters are out like this. I really hope they realise that they need them out. Sure it will cost a lot of money in extra wages, but in the long term, it could prevent incidents like this happening.

Disney isn't know for settling frivolous lawsuits as it opens itself up for other lawsuits of this nature. I see Disney refusing to settle and possibly banning the girls and the father.

Disrespecting anyone while they are doing their job IS a problem. If that girl is allowed to get away with doing this, what is next? I can see her sitting around with her girlfriends at McDonald's and deciding to pants the guy who is cleaning off the tables. "Oh, I did this funny thing at Disney World, let's see what we can do here!" "Fake rabbit" one day, real human the next.

This is not Disney's fault. As far as I'm concerned those 2 teenagers should have been kicked out of the park.

People for get there is a human inside there
Would you go up and pull on someone's pants?

If my child EVER behaved like that, you better believe there would be an apology to the person in the rabbit costume, and she would be sitting the rest of the day in the hotel room! Until she understood that even though who may not see there face, there is a person in there.. And it is NOT her life's mission to make their job harder!!!!

My childern are of the age that they really enjoy the characters, they are not there to be the but for someone joke..
SHAME on that father for not stepping!!!!!!

yes its a problem but its a bit much to say its the problem with society. only a small percent of society acts this way and its not some sort of epidemic that will end civilization as we know it. yes, people should strive to be kind to others but the opposite has been happening forever and it wont just stop unless people cease to exist.

It doesnt look like he grabbed her by her neck and pinned her but he should have never touched her either. If I were disney I would pay up with the agreement being the girl and her friend are never allowed on disney property again....seems fair that would teach them a lesson...I dont know about you but no matter how much I couldnt agree to never be able to set foot in disney.

The girl was laughing while the rabbit spoke to her. I would be curious to hear her explain to a court what is happening.

If that were my child, it would be the end of her day -- and most likely her entire trip. If her father was the one egging her on, then I feel sorry for the girl since she is obviously parentally impaired.

The whole idea of a lawsuit scares me. In my opinion, there should be harsh penalties for people filing frivolous lawsuits!

Her father is the one shooting the video!
They said" they didn't report it at the time, bc they didn't want to get kicked out of the park! "

That says it right there, that they knew they were in the wrong! But continued to do it anyways!!! :-(

Isn't a little coincidental that just a couple weeks ago a suit was filed for the racist White Rabbit character at Disneyland?

Two things are going on here in my mind- the employee playing the White Rabbit needs to be fired ASAP. Yes, if my daughter did that you bet your own tail she'd be in HUGE trouble. However, if you touch my daughter in RETALIATION, then now I have a problem with BOTH her and you.

My second thought is that the family saw the news story about the racist rabbit and decided to jump on the band wagon.
