Probably powdery mildew. Squashes are highly suseptible to it (as are zinnas). While it is a little unsightly it doesn't really affect the plant. You can make a mixture of milk and water and spray - sometimes that will inhibit the spread.

Forgot the mixture: 1 part milk, 9 parts water. Most effective is used in the morning. Keep wilted leaves picked up so the fungal spores don't spread. If the droppped leaves expose the squashes to too much sunlight you may need to put up little coverings for them. I just stuck poles around the plant and topped with a couple of old cloth diapers so the shade would cover the plant during the hottest part of the day.
