White Out!

Holy Cow! the leading edge of that cold front has just made it to my house with a little mini blizzard. It's snowing so hard that at times I can't even see across the street.

The good news: It will be over in less than an hour.

The bad news: It's going to get brutally cold once this goes by.

Hi Deb It flurried here a bit but nothing really stuck to the ground. We're supposed to have freezing temps now all week....Brrrrr!! <----shivering. LOL

Oh well, maybe we will get to use the snowman kit we got for Christmas.

It is -12 C outside right now. We had blowing snow this morning and afternoon and then just really cold.

I never experienced a white out until last year or the year before...can't remember exactly. But I was driving to get our birth cert a few miles away. It was fine out then all of a sudden....I couldn't see anything!!!! I just kept saying to myself "Oh my gosh...oh my gosh!!!".....it was the weirdest thing.....then I drove kinda right out of it into the sunshine.

It was pretty cool to watch, but I sure as heck am glad I was not trying to drive in it. Can you imagine how bad it would have been up on 93??? Blech.

My Mom grew up in Brockton and went to College at Bridgewater State Teachers College. Hearing your towns mentioned is making me homesick for New England.

A bit more on topic... whiteouts here are much more common, but just as scarey when driving.
