Can someone recommend a good white marker or pen?

I'm on my third one and I use them and store them exactly like they say on the package, but they never seem to work after the first one or two uses.

Did you try putting the cap on the gel pen, and thumping the cap on the table top a time or two? that might help. I use Inessentials white gel pen and pental white paint marker.

OMG! We are so always on the track for the *best* white pen too! The top one we've found after A LOT of experimentation and polling other scrappers (we agree with Linda!) is the Inkssentials one. A very close second is the UniBall Signo. Good luck - let us know what you find out!

I'll have to try that with the lid. I don't know what brand I had before that didn't work, but my current frustration is Pen-touch by Saruka. I would definately not recommend it. It worked wonderfully twice and now nothing.

I use the souffle white pen. Love it. I actually have 2 pens but I can't remember the other one. I think the souffle one writes almost clear but as it dries, it turns white.

I'm with PBF, I tried at least 1/2 dozen different pens before finding that one. There's something in the white ink that clogs the tips. I've also tried "washing" the tip on a baby wipe type thing that I use on my cricut mats, but I can't remember if it worked.

I use the Uniball one, I get mine from Stampin up, it does leave a clump at the end but I just flip it off if it's big I think just once i've had to do that. I always store it cap down. I've never had an issue.

I have been using the Uniball Signo White Gel Pen for about five years and love it. I had tried a ton of them before that as well. The only place you can get it that I know of is Stampin' Up!.

As for why it is so hard to find a white pen that works is because making white ink is difficult. Apparently the molecules (or something) in white ink are much larger than other colors and so it's hard to get them to consistantly come out of a pen. I read something like that a couple of years ago.

Anyway, that's my two cents.

I love my uniball white pen. I've had it for almost 2 years and its still going fine!

American Crafts - The Ultimate Gel Pen (white pastel)

Got my first at a CKC convention class a few years ago - recommended by the instructor. They are great pens!
