Were part of the Eastern turned Western cruisers from the Fantasy 9/23 sailing. The rest is an opinion piece.

White House Beach Getaway (G60), 9 of us attended, 6 adults and 3 elementary school children.

Note of importance: Remember this is a pay as you go location, not an all-inclusive. Many in the group who attended though it was all inclusive and never asked for pricing. Ouch.

So, Beer is 8 bucks. Mixed 11 - 14. Food is 22 or so for buffet. Order off the menu is on expensive side. More than one were in for a surprise when the bill came. Of note one in the bus group came away with a $300 Plus bill. :(. Not us , we had a smart one who asked up front what the charges were. (not I).

Beach is , well, 5 ft of sand from the water line to the coral. Dry sand is approx. 80' at best. Really not much to it for the children to wade into. They have beach chairs, which are standard and nice. Pool is OK, nothing fancy. No life guards, but not a bad thought just fyi.

So, My opinion, we did not use our funds wisely for this beach day. I'f we do GC again we'll just stay onboard or head to 7 mile beach, which is just a short ride away. Beach is far superior.

No,, I'm not complaining, Just giving an FYI to what we experienced on this tour.

Honeymooned in GC. Agree, 7 mile beach is the way to go.

Sorry to hear your experience wasn't the best.

Last time in GC, we did the Wreck & Reef Snorkel. Lots of fun. We docked right by Margaretteville, my boys loved the pool and slide in the restaurant. Then , we did a little shopping.

I would definitely hit 7 mile beach, if we ever do another Western cruise.

Thank you for your review. We looked at that excursion and wondered what the experience is truly like- now we know.
