White Chocolate characters?

I know I have seen one or two of the white chocolate characters on the boards here on the DIS. Does anyone have a master list of them and how much they cost (and if extra to have them "painted")

I was thinking of using them to "decorate" at the dessert party or the wedding as centerpieces etc - then find a way of giving them out to guests (I know my dad would love them) and its more practical then regular centerpieces/decorations...

any thoughts/help/insight appreciated! :yay:

I emailed my planner so hopefully she will check it out, I searched the boards some and found that I think they are 6" tall and can be non-painted to fully painted (I only like a few details painted). I had an idea from looking around before of using an upside down wine glass (large), putting a flower underneath the glass on top of a mirror plate with a few votive candles around it and sprinkle rose petals/confetti. I was going to put a larger candle on the top but then I remembered the White Chocolate Figures! SO I thought I could theme the tables by using a different character for each table and then find some creative way to "raffle" them off to the guests at the end as an added edible bonus!

What do you guys think??

The ones I've seen are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Tinkerbell, Pluto, Belle, Goofy, and Snow White, and I know they *can't* do Ariel. But I have a call in to see if there are any others. :thumbsup2

Oh, and they cost $28 for plain with gold accents and $45 if you want them hand-painted.

:rotfl2:

OK, I heard back—the only one missing from that list was Cinderella. So, the Oh-fish-all List o' White Chocolate Characters is:

Tinkerbell
Cinderella
Snow White
Belle
Mickey
Minnie
Donald
Goofy
Pluto

Wow that's kind of pricey! I bought a set of molds on ebay and my mom and I made them ourselves. You can even color the chocolate and make them in different colors for much less than what Disney is charging.

Mine were small, maybe 3 inches but there were all kinds of molds available, even 8 inch ones.

Worse than that—just found out Disney charges $45 for the hand-painted ones!

I've been looking into doing this too so I can save $ where ever possible  Was this hard to do and was it time consuming?

Yikes - I saw some posts from 2010 saying $20/25 at $45 doesn't help me save much money lol! Thanks everyone! If I hear back I will keep everyone posted!

All right, NEW update, thanks to email tag. They're only $45 if you want them hand painted! I thought that sounded high. The plain ones (with gold accents) are only $28. Whew! :teeth:

Sorry to disagree, but your pricing is incorrect.

Talk to your pal Brian over at the Contemporary—he'll confirm it! :teeth:

Now I did find out that the Grand Floridian's prices for the characters are slightly different than the Contemporary's: $30 each for unpainted white chocolate characters, except Cinderella, who is $40 because she's bigger.

Again, these are prices quoted to regular guests. It could be that these are the prices you'd pay through DFTW because they seem to do everything through the GF bakery.

that price is for a painted Mickey and Minnie wedding couple, about 3" high, and flat on the back, not a full size white chocolate figurine.:teeth:

all white chocolate characters are the same price. Cinderella is the same size as the rest of the white chocolate figures.

There is no price difference for a fully painted figurine, be it DFTW, as an addition to a birthday cake, or in a box to go.

:scratchin Hmmm... I think I'm gonna stick with the info I got from people who actually work at these bakeries. :thumbsup2

Thank you for all your work getting the info Carrie! If I can confirm what the prices are with my planner I will post back for everyone but for now I am going with Carrie's!!
