White baseball pants, you're killin' me Coach!

OP here, thanks for all the suggestions. Now I won't be the Mom in the bleachers yelling, "Don't slide, DON'T SLIDE!" :lmao:

Hope everyone has a winning season.

My town has 2 leagues and based on where we live, we get gray pants  I always look at the boys on the other teams and think "oh, their poor moms having to wash those pants" :lmao: I will keep all these ideas in my head though in case they pull a switcheroo!

No baseball but we have white soccer shorts and white soccer socks. And everytime they win they come to the front and slide for the parents. yay

We've found that spraying everything with Shout, then covering it with a sprinkling of Oxyclean and letting it set overnight helps. Then I wash with more Oxyclean, bleach and Tide.

If we are traveling, it's the same process with Shout and Oxyclean and let them sit in the sink or tub and then wash them out right before we go to bed and hang them over the shower rod. Now I make sure we have 2 pairs for travel weekends, but sometimes with 3 games, we still have to wash a pair.

because you could tell that they played. I have three boys and they don't like their pants to be so clean that they look like they sat the bench the whole game! Now that my son is older, his baseball pants can run up to $30. Having 2 pair would be expensive and the thin pants get holes in the knees with one slide. I do admit that I like to get them fairly clean and find that cascade powder paste works for me. Simple Green and Coke are some things that I have also used before but haven't seen mentioned yet. I have a front loader too so things have to soak in a bucket, which is another reason I do not like my front loader - but that is another topic! Happy laundry!

I am going to try some of your suggestions. Not only are the pants white but the away jerseys are white as well. I have been soaking in Qxy but it doesn't always work. I have 24 players and they have 2 to 4 games a week. Our Football pants are also white. So the gels and the rubbing is way too much work. Need the best spray.

My son is on a travel ball team, just got uniforms yesterday and one of them is all white.. My hubby said we better stock up on shaving lotion..:)

Super Iron Out. You can get it Ace Hardware. It will get any stain out of white baseball pants and they will look brand new. Says the mama who HATES stains.

I've had good luck with Shout and a generic stain stick. Looks like a giant glue stick! Of course, my laundry isn't from baseball, but we work at a summer camp, and I run a middle school theater program. I spend a lot of time "rescuing" clothes!

I haven't quite figured out why sports pants are white. Football, baseball, soccer...and the one I hate most is softball. I work with middle school kids. Middle school girls don't want to wear white pants. (if you don't know why, you probably don't have girls!)

They make something called white out. Find it in grocery stores. It works wonders.

I was going to suggest the same thing - Iron Out.

My DD has played softball for years. I've tried soaking in Oxyclean and hot water, Shout, Resolve, a paste of bleach & powdered Tide, bleach gel...nothing gets the orange stains out like Iron Out.
