Whitby Passport Office?

Anyone know how long the lines have been in the Whitby Ontario passport office? I am going to be going on Monday and have limited time. If it is to long I will go another time.

Any info would be appreciated.

We were there a couple of years ago now, but I remember that we pretty well went straight up to the attendant (we did pre-register on-line)...but there was virtually no line ups anywhere...for the four of us, I think we were a half hour or so....BTW, our employee went to the Toronto area office the same week (Scarborough?), and she was in there for a couple of hours

I used the office last fall (2006). I basically walked in and had no line up whatsoever. I have been in that mall on occassion over the past 18 months and have never seen long lines (ie out the door etc). For some reason this office is not as busy as the stories I've heard about other offices.

I'd be interested in knowing about current wait times in Whitby as I need to get in there to get passports for the kids.

Went last monday...only took an hour to get apply for passport...good

We used the office last fall also and it was a saturday so we waited for a couple hours.!!
The biggest issue for us was the photo's....they wouldn't take 2 of our photos and we had to go back down the mall and have them re-taken....then come home and get a refund for our photos we had taken here. Plus a week later they called and couldn't take another one of our photos so I had to trek back to Whitby with my new photo. They are VERY picky about the photos!!!
Be careful where you get them done.

Got mine about a year or so back in Whitby and although there was a bit of a line up. I have to say thats it was probably one of the fastest moving lines....efficient and friendly government type staff... I have ever dealt with.All in all a very easy,unexpected experience.

Got my passport in the mail yesterday, only 9 days and it was in my hand. That is just awesome.

Sent Hubby on the 6th. He said it took less than 30 minutes and our passports will be mailed out on the 26th.

Can someone tell me where the office is in Whitby? I live in Markham but work in Pickering so might consider this office. Last time went to Scarborough and had a bit of a wait.

The address is on the government website. It lists the service locations.

I believe it is 1516 dundas st east in Whitby.

I've been to the scarboro office and to quote a famous leather store, "it's worth the drive to whitby".
