Can anyone give me some info on the Whispering Canyon. I am thinking of taking my son for his 9th Birthday. I heard that it is a lot of fun.

It's a hoot. My dd, just about 12, and I ate there in June. She thought it was wonderful until she was talked into joining the kids in the center of the room. They all had to trot around the dining room on their wooden stick ponies. Poor thing was mortified!!! But, the food was terrific. and those 'keep 'em coming' bottomless milkshakes were incredible. If you get a good server the fun starts. Our server was fun, but not outrageous...too many bigger families to pick on. But we had a ball, loved the food, and would go back again.

Hi there,

We have been to Whispering Canyon several times. We have had different luck at different times...it depends on your server...sometimes an absolute laugh fest, and other times so-so. Also, the food has varied in quality. Once it was absolutely TERRIBLE! So, it can be a lot of fun, but not always...

Hi We stayed at the WL in April and ate at the Whispering Canyon a few times for dinner. The food was good and the servers were very entertaining, but it was also VERY busy! One morning we had a late breakfast there and our server was TOO FUNNY! We had an elderly (80) lady celebrating her Birthday with her 2 daughters right next to us and WHAT the server did to her was SOOOO funny! (just entertaining, not embarrasing)We will definitely be dinig here again! Joan

We were there Thursday night and had a ball. DS enjoyed the pony trot and receiving the Pony Express Ceritficate. The food was great and the vanilla milkshake was so yummy! Make sure you ask for ketchup! We were so full, we skipped dessert! :earseek:

I love this place! I got into a (very good natured)screaming match with one of the CM's here on my first visit. She heard my server ask me where we were from and then went over to the other side of the restaurant and yelled to her table that they better watch their manners b/c there were guests from the fancy town of Boston. It was hilarious. Afterward she came up to us and whispered that she was actually from our area originally and loved to tease Boston guests. She thanked us for playing along too. Our server that night was AWESOME as well. :wizard: His name was Art and he had a whole thing he did with kids my DS's age. Well due to his disabilites my DS doesn't read. Art sized up the situation instantly without even having to be told.:goodvibes: He changed up his routine and had my son in stitches the whole night and my DS still talks about it to this day. I love the BBQ here and the chicken pasta dish. The food is good and the atmosphere just fantastic. :cheer2:

we really liked it, fun and food, although for dinner we enjoyed the plated meals more than the ayce skillte..brkfst skillet was very good though..

just be aware the "antics" depend on the crowd, the server, ect...you need to have at least some in the restaurant who get in on the action to have a fun time, even if you don't really participate. our dinner was more sedate ( fun but not as crazy)than our absolutely crazy late brkfst.

we are going back and taking our unsuspecting family( evil laugh)
