How long does it typically take to get there from Mk for dinner? I am assuming we will take the ferry.

Yes that is about right. No more than 20 minutes. Could be as quick as 10-15 depending on how the boats are running, how full it is, etc.. If the line at MK is long and you won't make the boat, an alternative is to walk over to CR and take their smaller ferry over to WL.

Depending on what time of day you go you may have to stop at FW before making your way to WL. That is if you take the CR ferry. From what I could gather this past June, during the day, boats run directing from MK to WL and back and not to WL and then FW. Something you should probably plan for just in case.

We stayed at WL earlier this summer. I would recommend about 30 minutes from MK to WL. You need to allow time to walk from MK to the dock and from the WL dock to Whispering canyons. It is only a few minutes on each side but added together, it is 5-10 minutes. In addition, you need to budget time for waiting for the boat. Sometimes it is zero minutes but it could be 10-15 minutes. The actual boat ride is about 10 minutes.

Walk time to/from docks - 5-10 minutes
Wait time for next boat - 10-15 minutes
Boat ride - 10 minutes
Range: 15-35 minutes

So, budgeting 30 minutes is the "safest". It may be faster but you can't be sure.

We have never tried this one but we are tossing around the idea....good to know how to get there!!

I'd say 30 minutes or even longer. You'll get there early but it's such a lovely resort that you can take that time and wander.

One could also take the bus. WL has both boat and bus service to MK.
