Whispering Canyon

Aww, come on! Live it up a little. Stop taking everything so seriously. You're never going to see the people in the restaurant again and it's rare that we're all able to let out hair down, laugh at ourselves and others, and have something fun to talk about for months after.

Isn't that why we go to Disney World - to have fun?

I'm sorry, but I do NOT go to Disney (and spend my hard earned money) to be embarrassed and harassed when I'm trying to eat! I don't think my family would enjoy this, and I don't want to waste my deluxe dining plan credits on it either!

I have a ressie for this place (breakfast) during our stay at Christmas - I will be canceling it tomorrow morning! :sad2:

I'm glad I was informed before going, quite frankly I find the server's behavior ridiculous... maybe we will just do GF Cafe.

I am a bit perplexed that people are not aware of the antics before going. :confused3

We have not ate here, but do have ADR's for our upcoming trip. We have eaten twice at 50's PT, however, and there are similarities.

Last year, before making any ADR's (we were newbies without any knowledge of anything at WDW) we researched the menu, dress code, credits needed, reviews, ect... for all of the WDW restaurants. Based on what we found, we made ADR's. We knew what "went on" at 50's Prime Time (we were aware it did not always happen but could) but chose to dine there. We loved it! :lovestruc

My DH had to wear a baby bib the entire meal, we had to sing "Happy Birthday" to cousins, nearby children were "scolded", we heard a man sing "I'm a Little Teapot", we chose dessert from a Viewmaster, we were forced to do homework from our "Mom", we had to set our table both times, ect... all of which we were aware could happen before even making our ADR's.

If you don't like the possibility of "antics", don't go... those are what WCC and 50's PT are known for, go somewhere more subdued where food is the main focus.

There are many people that love them (the antics)! I think of it as a big interactive "show type atmosphere", honestly if the antics do not happen while we are there I will be disappointed!

We are looking forward to 50's PT again next trip and for trying WCC as well. DH, who is usually shy, really enjoyed 50's PT, he never even complained when he had to wear a bib (he had ask for extra napkins, "Auntie ask if he was messy" and came back and tied a child's bib on him).:rotfl: If my FIL was with us, or my BIL, we would never dream of eating here... neither would like it and both would be offended.

The antics may not occur (I think the servers personality plays in a lot to what you may or may not see/do), but then again they may... so if you make ADR's here, be prepared it is possible! :)
