I ate there last week and got a few appetizers. which we all loved. Then for entrees two of the four of us got the skillet and loved it, while the other two liked their entrees. Only observation is if anyone in your group doesn't LOVE meat, don't go because other choices are limited.
We have always loved WCC. The food has always been good for us. There is a variety on the menu, so you don't have to order the skillet if you don't want to. WL is a beautiful Resort, so you could catch a bus or boat from the MK over there and explore the Resort before or after lunch. There are even quite a few Hidden Mickey's throughout the Resort as well!
We go there on every single trip and have never had a bad experience. We always get the skillet and love it, but meat and BBQ are our favorite foods! The milkshakes are also yummy and we have had great service every time. I definitely reccommend it.
The thing to remember about WC is its NOT fine dining, its about the whole experience. If you want a nice quiet uninterupted meal, dont go. If you want a fun, lively meal its a must do. We all had the skillet and loved it. And yes we would do it again
I voted "yuck", but I won't say "stay away", because some people like that kind of food and experience. If I was staying there and had young kids, I might go back there. But for me personally the skillet was over-seasoned, fatty meats and sides.
We like it........ I have had Breakfast and Lunch from here.
Now do you like to eat where it can be loud???
Do you like BBQ and meat??
Do you like a waitstaff that can be fussy???
Do you like for the kids to do games and ride horses???
Then this could be the place for you. Yes it can get loud at times but that is part of the fun. Good food and good times Yes we do order the skillet most times and love it.
I wouldn't go so far as "yuck," but we'd rank it a solid "meh." I don't see us going back, it really wasn't our thing. We weren't thrilled with the food. We're also not "shenanigans" with food kind of people, so that certainly contributed to the "meh."
We didn't realize that we felt that way about the antics until after we ate there (DS and I are generally silly by nature). After eating there we cancelled our ADR at 50's PTC cause we knew we probably wouldn't enjoy the atmosphere there either.
Thanks everyone for your response and input.
I have decided to keep our ressies for Whispering Canyon. We love meat, and we love shenanigans. So im sure it'll be great! Thank you!!
