Whispering Canyon & Split Tables

So I just called and added Whispering Canyon for 6 in August. We got one of the last dinner ressies available (4:40pm). They booked it, gave confirmation, then said that it was a split table and the hostess when we get there will take care of it.
Should I call back before the trip (if so how often), to try and get this changed, or will it not be a big deal to have us seated together when we get there?
I've booked a group this size before and not been split, so I don't know what to do.

We booked a dinner there last trip for a party of 9 people. For almost every ADR they told me the parties would be split. It never happend all trip. We ate at Whispering Canyon, Ohana, HV, CP, CM, Boma ,Sci-Fi, and Tusker House. We always ate at one table or 2 tables pushed together. I really think they work to keep parties together once you check in. At least that was our experience. I think you'll be fine as is. Good Luck!!

Agree - they will try hard to make it so you sit together. It may take longer when you check in to get a larger table - less of them - but it shouldn't be a problem.

And beyond that, there really is nothing to change. They generally don't have lots of slots for big table reservations.
