I've been to Whispering Canyon several times, always at dinner, and had both the skillet and ala carte. The two times I ate ala carte I had the roasted chicken, which comes with yukon mashed potatoes and cinammon apples. It was very good. They used to have ribs as a meal option, which I checked and they dont have anymore, my husband had that once and he said it wasn't that great. Of course we are from Kansas City, Mo and its hard to judge outsider BBQ..
I had one of the best dinners ever there--it was fish (grouper maybe?) and not on the regular menu. I'm thinking it was from Artist Pointe, the upscale restaurant next door, but I'm not even sure. My husband loved the mashed potatoes he had with meat loaf (I think anyway). Overall the food is pretty basic type of food but certainly decent.
