Since we are now booked again at WL, I am considering eating at WC. It will most likely be breakfast. I know there is that seating area which is kind of outside the restaurant. Do they do all the antics out there or could we have a peaceful breakfast there?

There is an area to the back of the restaurant which does tend to be quieter than most of it. When you check in at the podium ask for that area.

The one and only time we ate at WCC, we were seated in this "quiet"area. It is way in the back with an outside rail open to the lobby area. It was quieter and the CMs working there didn't seem to be "playing the game" as much. We appreciated that.

Our meal wasn't really that good, though, so we don't plan to eat there again.

Ok, as for that "back quiet" area....just know while you are away from the antics you are by the kitchen door. So that means every 30 seconds, WHAM, BAM, on the door.
Everytime a server goes in or comes out the door, they POUND on the door. This is to let others know on the other side someone is coming through.
So it is NOT quiet by any means. Just less antics. Frankly I would take the antics over the pounding door any day!!!

If you sit near the fireplace you might hear the kitchen door but pass the fireplace is another area that is very quiet.l

for breakfast that area is not open, you would be in the large dining area. Antics aren't as prominent in the morning, they have to keep it down since guests are still sleeping

Like the PP said, when my family was there for a late breakfast in late October they were only seating the main area. There were a few antics (like the call for catsup), but not nearly as much as at dinner. It was pretty quiet.

Hey Cuz! You are going in the summer - there will be antics. We ate there twice for breakfast in May and even at breakfast they shout for ketchup (we got 17 bottles! Katie loved it:lmao:)and do the pony ride. I don't recall seeing the back area open in the morning. I think if you request a tucked away table I think you can enjoy a nice breakfast without too much commotion.

We were there for breakfast and there wasn't much going on. I think there may have been a call for ketchup, but it wasn't loud and there were just a few kids that ran over and put ketchup bottles on our table. It wasn't a big deal.

In our 2010 report below, I think I included a picture of the ommlette and the breakfast skillet meal. The food was really good. Very enjoyable.

The last time I visited WCC, we asked to be seated in that quieter back room. The host made a huge deal about us being a bunch of 'old ladies' that didn't want to have any fun and stuck us in the main dining room.

So be aware, if you really want to be in that back room, you may need to insist.

Thanks everyone! Might have to think about this. I'm not really good before coffee :rotfl:

The Library (back room) isn't open in the morning, the doors are usually closed and remain that way until dinner. There isn't enough staff in the morning to open that room up and the reason there isn't enough staff is because it doesn't get 1/4 as busy for breakfast or lunch as it does for dinner.

To "insist" that you be seated in a closed area isn't going to work for you or the server. Why? because it's 2 rooms away from the main dining area where the server is stationed. You wouldn't get the proper attention needed and neither would his/her other guests.

For dinner, we were sat at the two top directly in front of the fireplace. Great seat. The waiters station was somewhat across from us and the kitchen door with the pounding as PP mentioned, but since it was dinner hour it was noisy anyway. As for the antics, there was a large party directly across from us that our server was also handling and she did the antics with them but not with us. They had several kids with them and we were two adults so I have to think that's why. There is an area beyond this one (towards the back) that is away from the kitchen/server area but they were not seating anyone in this area when we were there. They were very busy (we had to wait 20 mins past our ADR time for a table) but still not seating anyone there, so not sure if you could get seated back there.
