I could use some advice. We will be at WDW the week before Christmas. We want to take our family to the Whispering Canyon. My question is would it be better to go on Christmas since I understand they have traditional food, or should we go another day with more extensive menu and perhaps more rowdy crowd? Would appreciate any comments. Thank you.:flower3:

We have been several times including Thanksgiving...There were less antics for sure...So that depends on the experience you are looking for...But I also think you wouldn't be missing anything as far as the food if you go on the holiday...The menu is never extensive...Eating there on Christmas is a really nice idea because the tree and decorations at the WL are amazing...It will really feel like Christmas!

I'd call it cheesy fun. Definitely on the corny side but if you go with the flow it can be fun.

If you're looking for a sophisticated comedy experience this is not your joint.

I like cheesy fun actually. Most ppl say WC is fun, so it must be. Doesnt hurt to try right?

Im sure you can find some videos on youtube around xmas time?

Honestly we have gone to WCC on previous trips since we stayed at WL enjoyed the food but could have done without the "antics" after the first or second time eating there. We are once again staying at WL and have 3 ADR's planned , B,L, & D mainly due to its convience and secondly DH loves the food there.

Would I make a trip there if not staying at WL no, but that is just me it is the been there done that thing, but if I had kids yes I would definately go at least once as they will surely have a great time.

The several times we have been we did not feel the antics were too much...It is loud, can be silly, but is very family friendly...There is an area in the back that is quieter...They sat DH and I when were were alone on our honeymoon....No antics there at all but the tables are small so not good for larger parties...

I think the servers feel out the parties that are into the silly games and play off of them...But in our experience they did not bother with those that would not play along...

But again, the beauty of that lobby is worth the experience!
