Whispering canyon question

Hello everyone this is my first post! My DH and I are going to disney for the first time in over 15 years and are so excited!!!!! We are on the deluxe dining plan and have reservations at the whispering canyon cafe. I was wondering if we could still do the canyon skillet which is the all you can eat family style service even though we are on the plan? Also we are sharing this meal with another couple that is only on the basic dining plan, will this be a problem? I love the boards thank you all in advance.

Yes, they still offer the skillet (http://allears.net/menu/menu_wc.htm). Shouldn't be a problem with the other couple- just ask for separate checks.

Ordering the skillet won't be a problem just as PP said.

You will love it. It is DH's favorite place to eat, he always gets the skillet to. I had the ribeye and loved it, definitely a must do for us.

Yes, it definitely qualifies as an entree.

My BF got it when we were there in Sept. and it was way more than he thought he'd get/could eat.

The skillet is great and they just keep asking you what else you want..our server had a great "ketchup" request...she just kept going Ket...................chup..................it was amazing!

The food was really good.

I just wanted to add that last year durring our trip we had a ressie here and it was the only place that I really didn't care about eating at. It turned out to be one of the best experiances of our trip. We had so much fun and the food was great.

My wife and parents went there for the first time this past June. We didn't really have any idea what to expect.
The food was great! We all had the Skillet, even though none of us ate enough to "make it worth it." Also included in the meal plan is the milk shake they have at Whispering Canyon, which includes refills! Our server let us switch to a different beverage, though, after just one shake.
It was probably the best time we had our entire trip! Our server was amazing and kept us entertained and laughing the whole meal. Even my mother, who can be quite a stick in the mud, was having a blast.
