Is the platter at Whispering Canyon included in the dining plan? I have heard that it is the thing to get when you are there, but I was concerned it may not be available to us.
Thanks!

I have an additional question please. If you get the all-you-can-eat skillet, do you still get a separate appetizer or does the salad that comes with it count as that? We have always gotten the skillet and this is our first time going on the DDP. Thanks to whoever knows the answer.

Ask 10 people and you'll get a 5/5 split vote. It seems it's all the luck of the draw.

I've got an ADR here for the free dining and I'm hoping to get the appetizer, but I know in advance to not be disappointed if I'm turned down.

We were told when we were there that the salad included on the skillet was the appetizer.

It was really good, and lots of fun!

Agreeing with Renee here...

The salad is the appetizer...but we each got to order a dessert.

The skillet has a lot of food on it, though. DH and I only got one refill. This year, he's going to order the skillet, and I'm gonna get an appetizer/entree and we'll just graze off each other's plates.

I do not eat meat at all. Nothing really tempted me at WC, but I really want my family to go because it seems fun! Could I just get a salad and pay for it OOP. How do they do that if you can? Do you get a separate bill with the OOP things (such as Alcoholic bevs.)? Do they look at you like you are cheap? I would rather save my TS for a place that I will really enjoy the food. Thanks!

Granted, I don't read every review, but I've never seen it posted where someone was allowed an appetizer in addition to the skillet.

ETA: Just read on another current thread that jjan WAS allowed an extra appetizer w/ the skillet.

If only some in a group order the skillet, the others are allowed an appetizer.

While it is not uncommon for "policy" to vary from CM to CM, it doesn't seem to be the case concerning the WCC skillet/appetizer issue.

When we were there for Christmas, the salad was the appetizer for the all~you~can~eat skillet. We were able to get the milkshakes as our drinks and then plus a dessert!

We were there in March, when we ordered the appetizers we didnt know what meal we were going to get yet, we were still looking at the menu, i never thought about it when my dh ordered the skillet. As i think back, i dont think he got a salad. So we ordered an app, skillet and desert, which sadly we could barely eat.

Here's a thought -

The lunch skillet doesn't come with the salad.

Maybe that's when some have had an appetizer?

ETA: jjan received hers with dinner.

Yes, you can do this on a seperate bill, no problem.
