I need one more place to eat on our trip. I was looking at Whispering Canyon, but my DD is a very picky eater and won't eat a hamburger or what comes in the skillet. Does Whispering Canyon offer anything for kids to eat besides what is listed on the allears menu? My DD is very picky I know some places have other items if you ask, and wondered if anybody knew about Whispering Canyon.
I was also looking at Ohana and it says ALTERNATIVE CHILDREN'S SELECTIONS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST
Anybody know what selections they have?

I've looked at the menus at allears and am having a hard time finding restuarants that appeal to my family. Any suggestions are welcomed.

This is what I have so far

Akershus (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Liberty Tree Tavern (Dinner)
Chef Mickey's (Dinner)
Garden Grill (Dinner)

I have heard of 'Ohana having chicken nuggets, hot dogs and grilled cheese. Maybe other things. You still pay the regular child's price (not relevant if you have DDP, a credit is a credit)

What will your child eat?

Hi There-

My 5 YO daughter had fruit, plain pasta with butter, and a milkshake for dinner. She really had fun at Whispering Canyon (we did too!)

Have you checked the menu at The Plaza (MK)? They have quite a few kids options.

You could always get uncrustable (if your DD likes those) from the little food court at WL and take it in to WCC with you.
Or eat it quickly before you go and just let DD have dessert?

Happy planning!! Good luck! :goodvibes

there is a different menu on WDW Info:

"Grilled Chicken Strips - Served with macaroni topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella with veggies and fruit salad. Includes choice of 1% milk, bottled water or juice. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.49
Kids' Picks: Choice of 1 Appetizer, 1 Entree, and 1 Dessert - Appetizers: Watermelon or Garden Salad. Entrees: Canyon Skillet (add $2.00), Mac & Cheese, or Hamburger. Desserts: Cinnamon apples, Chocolate chip cookies, or Worms in Dirt. Includes choice of 1% milk, bottled water or juice. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.49 "

DD had a chicken leg, fries and choc chip cookie at WCC in a little skillet. Picture in my dining review - see link in my signature.

Ohana offer the same kids options as Kona I think - no menu but hot dog, mac and cheese etc. DD has had hot dog and fries there twice.

If there is no medical/allegy issue you may find your DD will be more willing to try new foods. My DD loved teppan edo even though she is not a fan of stirfys at home. I booked it knowing worse case scenario she would at least eat the plain rice/dessert.

My DD is very picky and we can't even get her to try items we have at dinner. It sounds like Ohana might be a better option if they have mac and cheese , hotdogs, or chicken nuggets, DD will eat any of those.

My daughter is the pickiest eater in the world. However, she loved Whispering Canyon so much that she found something to eat. This was some time ago. We are planning a trip there and I don't see a thing on the menu that she will eat. I am curious, too.

I know that in the past, the WDW restaurants tried to be very accomodating and made special requests for picky eaters. I have no idea if they do that any longer. I'm thinking that perhaps they brought her kids menu food from another restaurant at WL the last time we went. I vaguely remember that - but it is going back 7 years.

This is the same menu that's on WDW's site as well. It shows the actual scanned kids menu.

Has anybody been here to verify if they have mac and cheese on the kids menu? Some menus list it, others do not.
How do the antics work? We are a quiet family and prefer to just eat our meal without the little antics. We don't mind it other tables are participating, and we'd probably enjoy watching others, we just prefer not to get involved.

I think the WCC is a place you either love or hate. I find it very loud and annoying, my guy like it. My guys love the food, me:rolleyes1. It so depends on your waiter as too how crazy it will be. FYI- they did have mac& cheese when we were there BUT it was a little different and might not be what your picky eater would eat. I do know the food court at WL has hot dogs and chicken nuggets and I can not imagine that they would not have access to those but you could always run over and get them yourself if they will not.

BTW- We all love ohanna's much more than WCC.
