Whispering Canyon....how long?

I was planning a trip and I really wanted to have lunch at WCC. The only problem is that MK is only open from 9am to 7pm that day and I'm afraid it will take too much time away from the park.

If we take the boat to the WL, have lunch, and return to MK, won't it take at least 2 to 2 and a 1/2 hours? Do you think it would be worth leaving the park?

Why don't you have dinner there...I heard that the dinners are more fun and wild-er than the B or L...You could have dinner at 7 or 7:30 and still get to stay in the parks to maximize your time there!! We are having dinner there on October 24...CAN'T WAIT...it is so much fun! Very neat restaurant!!!!

We did lunch at WCC on one of our MK days. It took a big chunk of time out of the day. We left the park at 11:00 to catch the boat for our 12:00 reservation. The boat seemed to take forever and we just made it to the check-in station at noon. It was almost 2:00 when we got back into MK. We had 2 days at MK, so were able to make up for the lost time, but we wouldn't do it again.

Wow. That is a long time! I'm thinking of not doing it at all and having lunch inside MK instead. I can't do it for dinner because I already have dinners scheduled for every night.
It is a dissappointement though because I really would like to eat there.
