Whispering Canyon, fun or obnoxious?

:sad2: :scared1: Wow. I believe you but just... wow. I can't imagine! I would have told her to cut it out or I'd be speaking to the manager.
I let her know that, well, that kind of "joke" wasn't acceptable. She ditched the whole "act" and was a normal waitress for the rest of our visit.

And yes, her tip reflected our displeasure.

We are going to try WCC this fall for the first time since they now have the coasters to indicate if you want to participate in the antics or not. My DH does not think stuff like that is funny. We ate at 50's Primetime once and our server did a little bit of "show" and he was not impressed and we have not been back. I told him that WCC had antics, but they have a way for the customers to opt out, so he agreed to give it a try.

We've never eaten there before. We were thinking about breakfast. Do we have to make an ADR?

We are looking forward to eating there for dinner in August! My husband is the biggest kid of them all and will get a big kick out of it. My boys are 11 and 8 1/2 so are perfect ages for the antics and fun.

This is one place my vegan daughter wants to eat as they have an entree that is can easily be vegan! I'm very happy to hear all the good reviews. Thank you! Three members of our party have no idea about catsup, straw or refill shenanigans. What happens when you ask for napkins, as with two kids we always ask for extra napkins!

Also, can milkshakes still count for a beverage?

Thank you.

It is really fun - my kids love going there...simply for the ketchup show :)

Yes, milkshakes count for a beverage on the dining plan. OOP, you have to pay for them.

I ate here about 5 years ago maybe longer and although the antics didn't bother us the food was terrible. Most of my group got the skillet and found that it was very good at all. Us who ordered off the regular menu where way more satisfied with our meals. The onles who got the milk shakes where very disappointed also and I think the most anyone had was 2 because they where switching flavors trying to find a good one. They all prefer 50's Prime for the antics and food combined and they love the PB&J milkshake

We've enjoyed our meals there and haven't been bothered by the antics. Both times our server had a good intuition to know to scale it back for us, as two adults who weren't much into it. It's my understanding the tables now have cards you can flip over to advise your server whether you are participating in the antics. We just preferred to watch others enjoy it, and we did not find that to be obnoxious.

Do you request that table when you arrive? We will be dining there for my first time this trip..still undecided on breakfast, lunch or dinner, but would love to sit by a fireplace! We are a party of two also

We're also a party of two and have eaten there twice, both times we got the table by the fireplace. Both ADRs were around 7-7:30pm. I think it was just luck of the draw for us.

How does WCC compare to 50's PT? I watched a couple videos of 50's PT and thought it looked really annoying.

We enjoy both, but the antics at WCC are a little more rough around the edges IMO. Some may construe it as rude but of course it's all in good fun. They'll bring you large buckets of soda if you ask for a refill, drop a handful of straws on the table, have kids bring a million ketchups to your table if you ask for ketchup. It's almost sarcastic humor. At 50s Prime Time, the schtick is how people acted in the 1950s. All about manners, no elbows on the table, finish your veggies, etc. Less brash probably at 50s.
