I'm trying to figure out if I want to do Whispering Canyon or just go to Roaring Forks on the morning of our departure. I'm sure ME will be picking us up around 9:30 or so. I ate at WC 2 years ago for a dinner ADR with my family and DH. My DH didn't like the crazy antics and loud noise of the restaurant. And.. We were in the back corner where we couldn't even see the rest of the restaurant and what was going on. I was wondering if it's the same atmosphere for breakfast. If so, we will just go to Roaring Forks but if it's not the same, I may consider us coming here. Suggestions?

We did WCC for breakfast in 2010. While DH and my girls were up for antics, my parents were not. I warned my parents about the antics and told them what not to do or say...I also spoke to our server and tried to convey that it might be better if we experience WCC "lite" as far as antics go. She definitely restrained herself. There were still TONS of antics going on around us at other tables as the atmosphere is the same as lunch and dinner, but we were spared. I've thought about going back with my hubby and kids so we can partake in the antics, but I'm on the fence as we were only so/so on the food. We actually liked Roaring Fork better for breakfast food.

Disney is so good about working with you that if you didn't want the antics just let them know, I did. It was about 7:45 and there were a couple of other families in the whole place. I just told they didn't have to do all of that stuff for us. Besides it was way too early in the morning for that. Besides I think they're pretty happy when they don'thave to do that stuff anyway.

I agree with the PP, in that it really depends on the number of other guests, the servers, etc. I've had breakfast once at WCC and it was towards the end of the morning (10-ish). There were only a handful of other tables, so when one of the servers tried calling for katsup, no one responded. They made a second call and one little boy brought the bottle from his table, but that was it. After that the servers didn't make any other attempts at the "antics". My guess says that if there are only a few tables filled, the noise and antics will be low, but if it's crowded, then there will be noise and antics. So, overall, if you're concerned about the antics and noise, it would probably be easier to eat at Roaring Forks.

There will be antics! Was there this past week, however, the food is excellent!!!!
