WCC has nothing to do with whispering -- LOL! From servers who bang the tray holders on the wood floors so it sounds like a horse clopping along to the "He-yaws!" to the pony races to the general tomfoolery, this is a place designed as much for LOUD fun and laughter as dining.
That said, some servers are very much into the schtick or fun while others are more laid-back. WCC also has a designated "quiet" zone you could request if you prefer a less raucous dining experience. (I don't recommend that -- you miss out on so much fun.)
We've had breakfast and dinner there. Love the skillet meals -- they are all-you-care-to-eat and they serve up hearty portions. You can barely finish one skillet before you're server has a fresh one ready to take it's place. If you particularly like some items, they will happily load up the next skillet with those. If you order this and leave hungry, it's your own fault!
Our 2 DDs loved participating in the pony races (using stick ponies). Afterwards, they had to take the WCC "Pledge" which including promises not to whine, listen to your parents and most importantly, never, ever, ever go to Universal!
Be sure to ask for ketchup -- whether you want it or not. It's FUN!
We've gotten HUGE glasses when we asked for a large water (think nearly half gallon size glasses!); teeny-tiny glasses; super-long straws. One server helped us make "hats" out of cloth napkins and straws! We saw a few people put in "jail" for "stealing" ketchup -- they bring out a small set of jail bars to put in front of your plate!!
Note: Not all hijinks are guaranteed and again, some servers are less interactive than others. Some take their lead from YOU, so if you want to fully participate, you gotta start with a big loud HOWDY! Anyway, have a great time (I highly recommend WCC, by the way!).
